What I believe will be a Star Destroyer bridge sits right against the full-height room on the topmost floor. The finale could begin there, the ship is floundering, and we are ejected into the full-height room for what Martin referred to as a "controlled descent." We are brought down to the lower level where we exit from the opposite side. Britain suggested that we may be put into escape pods, which makes sense, but if the ship has entered atmosphere, we could be brought down in the ride vehicle by our droid pilot. This would give a more 360 degree view and it would be neat if we could see other vehicles as we fall back to Batuu.

Still have over a year to speculate about all this.

Interestingly, notice the curved cutout in the floor where that room is:

(I think that taller wall with the struts and the worker on top is part of that same room from the DHS picture).

Seems like that could fit the cutout as in the floor here:

From what we saw before the building was closed up, there didn't seem to be any inter-floor moving parts in the finale room, though they could have been built later. I recall one insider saying that one of the transfers between floors is meant to be disguised. (Though we already do have the two elevator shafts adjacent to the AT-AT room. I had been assuming that one of them is for going up and the other for going down.)

Haven't been following the Disneyland construction, but is there an estimated opening date next year? We're thinking of doing our first Disneyland trip, but we want to make sure we'd be able to go before Star Wars opens.

My first trip was in February 2015 and it was pretty slow and not too crazy. Plus I doubt it would open that early so that’s a good bet.

Given the state of the "village" buildings (in front of the two ginormous show buildings) I think next Easter is optomistic and Summer is more likely. IMHO.

As above. I'd aim to go January/February. March could or could not be sketchy. April is definitely too sketchy. I expect the land to be completely open by D23 at the latest.
