I'd focus on the lower half of that pic- and it's not so much lost as a tunnel/cave instead of wooden path.Agreed. Looks nice...

Wow that looks incredibly nice. Any Star Wars land that doesn't have this, what seems like it'll be, quiet and quaint area is a failure in my books.

Precisely, but no need for guessing, it’s just this general area that has been cut.

Like that guy said when they were searching for Titanic survivors, there's nothing there, sir. Ambiance, maybe.
Granted there's probably nothing there but scenery, but I think it'll add immensely to the experience for me. It's a subtle difference, but one the I think will give the edge to DL.

So according to you ambiance and place-making at DL isn't worth much now?
If this is any indication of what we can expect with Star Wars land, at least in WDW, then it's probably best to experience it in the first few years.

Exactly. And how typically idiotic of Disney's theme park managers; WDI builds them a manly tavern themed to Gaston, and a few years later they devolve the menu into ladies spa lunches and kiddy karbs.
I am sure Star Wars Land on opening weekend will be full of themed food, themed merch, enthusiastic CM's saying nothing but themed scripts, etc, etc.
And two years later it will offer churro carts and Jack Skellington t-shirts and slovenly CM's with neckbeards mumbling "how many? row 2, how many, row 3"

You can love something and criticize it as well when you feel it’s not doing something right.Disney fans are a curious lot. I'm not sure I've ever come across a fan base with such a love/hate relationship with the thing they enjoy.
See Star Wars fans. We took down its creator. You can't get any more crazy than that. You can love something and criticize it as well when you feel it’s not doing something right.

I thought they did serve actual beer there? I could've sworn I read something when it opened about this being the first time they served alcohol in a Magic Kingdom park.It wouldn't have been so odd if it was an actual tavern serving booze rather than a blatant Butterbeer ripoff.
