You guys are so quick to post these nowadays that I'm surprised I timed my youtube search so well.

I have to say I'm a bit underwhelmed by the scale of the ROA rockwork. I wasn't expecting Cars Land, and I know most everything inside Disneyland Park tends to be small, but for some reason I was thinking the landscape would be more imposing. Maybe it looks bigger in person?

I can almost guarantee that they'll do some kind of forced perspective to make it look bigger than it is.

As someone with a one year old, renting doesn't sound like a bad idea. Spending 15$ Is better than what I have to go through Getting that tank (medium size really) of a stroller that my wife loves onto the tram. It's like, what's my sanity worth?

I was like you for many years... Then I discovered the walkway and never looked back!!! Not sure it's an option these days w/ the new security setup...but man.. so worth the extra little walk to not have to deal with folding up a stroller for that tram while holding a kid, merch/food, starbucks, etc.. :)

Haha funny you say that. I actually tried that recently... because I was forced to. As we were all waiting for the tram for Mickey and Friends, a CM comes and tells everyone that they re sorry but we re going to have to walk to the parking lot. Of course everyone was Moaning and groaning and confused (it was late at night) As we began to walk to Mickey and friends we saw somebody on the floor in need of medical help with people around him. The ambulance pulled up seconds later.

Anyway, Mickey and friends is a bit far after a long day at the park for me. I could see it being a great thing on semi fresh legs or if the tram line is just unbearable. I just noticed recently that the first section of the first and last tram car have sections for larger strollers and they don't need to be disassembled. Problem is they only fit usually 2 strollers per per section per tram.

Also, I think with they ve closed that path due to the new security procedures. Not sure if it's permanent or not.

When I had kids, I had a nice compact but sturdy folding umbrella stroller. It was easy to fold up and get on and off the tram. It was also cheap enough that I didn't care if it was stolen (which did happen at Disneyland once). After your first kid, you learn to go lite to places. You don't need a ton of stuff that weighs more than the kid. People with giant strollers are typically the tourists or first time parents that haven't figured out how to travel lite.

Once I figured that out, I would only have a backpack with jacket and snacks and the stroller. The stroller was typically parked in one place, then we would walk from attraction to attraction. Sometimes I wouldn't see the stroller for most of the day because we would take the train someplace else. When the kids would get tired of walking or we went to a different land, we would get the stroller.

I also don't think people know that the shops will hold your purchases and move it to any store for pickup. This way expensive stuff isn't sitting unattended all day in a stroller and I don't have to carry it everywhere. They will even mail it to you. Things do get stolen out of strollers more often than people realize.

On our trip to WDW last month the item we most worried about getting stolen were our refillable mugs! We hid them pretty deep everytime we had to park the stroller.

One year, we had our five kids (all under 7) and we made our way through the crowds to Rainforest Cafe at the end of the day. Our oldest was on my back, and the rest of the kids were piled up like dead bodies on our double stroller. Exhausted, my wife and l enjoyed dinner, but the kids fell back to sleep at the table. We then realized we were very far away from the Howard Johnson, and we did not want to stress the integrity of the stroller (or the kids' internal organs) again all the way back. So we called a taxi, my wife and children took it back to the hotel while I walked back with the stroller.

The next day, my wife went to Target to get our 2nd double stroller, which proved helpful for the rest of the trip. However, more recently, we've only needed one double stroller as the crew has gotten older.

NOTE: I advocate the inline double, never the side-by-side double!

We took my niece (9 months) to the parks recently and she had a blast meeting the Princesses (at least we think she did from all the smiles she gave). There's no doubt she will remember absolutely nothing from that experience, but we got a few good pictures out of it.

However, to the point, the stroller situation was frustrating. We parked it outside for Small World, and when we came back to find it, an attendant had moved it almost completely to the other side of the stroller "lot". We initially thought someone had taken it by mistake.

The exact same thing happened to us right before the holidays. It was a frantic 5 minutes.

As someone with kids that has visited with strollers, like phruby, we only use the small, foldable umbrella strollers. It's ridiculous the size of strollers people bring. I think limiting the size of the strollers allowed would do wonders.
It would be pretty simple. The airlines have those pass-through measuring devices at check-in; if your carry-on is too big to 'pass-through' the measuring device, you have to check it. Set up something similar at the gate and if the stroller exceeds the size it can't go in.
