It's pretty interesting to go back and watch the leaked demo footage from Smuggler's Run. This section basically exists on the ride as is but it's been simplified quite a bit, probably for visual clarity.

But can you avoid the miniature AT-ATs, and NOT knock them over?

And does the Imperial March play in that section?

My idea for a roller coaster in Batuu. They should get rid of the both rides. I think they should have two coasters one a Resistance side and the First Orders side. They shoot at each other. It should go all over batuu. They should make it to through the At-At legs.

Would have been a silly thing to do at a theme park!!!! Whenever I walk through cars land or fantasyland I just think “goodness... too many rides with people having fun. What’s wrong with this place! Don’t they understand total immersion!!!”

And I’m not even saying every E ticket has to be a thrill ride but this is Star Wars for crying out loud.

I’m officially old. I said “for crying out loud.”

ok i am back from the resort and i have to say that i was actually expecting the place to be a ghost town but instead it wasn't.

DCA actually felt quite busy, pacific wharf was packed and buena vista street was very busy.
pixar pier was also very busy but attraction times low and steady with incredicoaster at 30-45 minutes throughout day. the emotional whirlwind at 45 minutes and very slow moving. guardians was at 45-50 minutes.

Disneyland was surprisingly also busy with all major rides at the 40-50!minute mark except thunder at 25minutes.
some areas if park felt busy with lots of foot traffic but not sardine style. all eateries with no open seating which was bad because i disnt reserve anything thinking it would be empty.

as for Gakaxy edge, millennium falcon did not go below 45 minutes and im starting to believe because of a good load and unload cycle. the whole queue was full and they had an extended queue thru a large backstage door. the line went thru the gate out to backstage. the area was set up with large shipping containers blocking the back stage. even with that line length the queue kept moving and stayed at the 45 mark.

the cantina which i thought was by reservation only had a long queue that stretched to the area by blue milk stand. the one eatery was full with no seating available.
for a land that people are calling a failure it sure didnt look like it. everyone seemed to have a light saber or robot and plenty of creatures.

one thing that i do see as a problem is the delayed opening of rise of resistance. lots of people were confused as to what was going on with that land and why only one ride.
the lack of entertainment is also visible. the whole land has catwalks and areas that look like they were built for something. when chewbaca came out and dis his thing people got giddy and excited and large groups congregated just to watch him supposedly fix an x wing. the same goes for the two stormtroopers.

the other two entertainment characters and really made a difference and ahowed the lack of more of them.

getting back to the crowds, we did notice quite a few europeans, asian and latin tourist. it makes a lot of sense since several of those areas usually go on holiday ( we call it vacation) during july and August.
it also seemed like locals are finally coming out. it could be the low crowd word of mouth or the fact that like i mentioned before bloggers and media and Disney had scared everybody about possible huge crowds during opening month.

hopefully the uptick continues and Disney reverses the idea of cutting entertainment and other things —— pictures from today

Does anyone think that it’s just wrong not to have a Star Wars ride that goes more than 2 mph? Shouldn’t that be a given? I know Trowbridge said they didn’t prioritize rides first...and it shows.

the ride should have let people go upside down.
how difficult would it have been to add an optional safety/stop lock to the ride so that those guest that didnt want to be flipped over it didnt?

the ride is fun but i was expecting it to be a bit more thrilling than star wars when it came to movement

That would be fun but how could that work? Wouldn’t everyone in the cockpit have to agree?
