I’d rather two rides be built than a ride and a restaurant.
Do we really need to spend more money here, especially when Blue Bayou and Cafe Orleans is only a short stroll away??
Also wouldn’t mind if they built Smuggler’s Alley, which is heavily featured in the books but mysteriously missing from the land. Would love the see a creepy Dug animatronic, or visit Oga herself as she overseas her underworld operations.
Sit down eateries are lacking at the park-The Blue Vayou and Cafe Orleans are constantly booked. a two story reastaurant in the property connected to the cantina would help enhance the lack of entertainment to the land. I do agree that they missed out on adding at least another ride. The lack of a family ride is surprisingly abvious.

Do a Pixar Pier style makeover of Galaxy’s Edge. All trilogies era and bring back Jedi Academy for kids who would enjoy a battle with Darth Vadar. Seems like most guests have no chance to get on Rise of Resistance.and also probably the fact that the land didn't pack the park like it was suppose to during summer. Even though it is busy now for rise the rest of the land and the park as a whole didn't see an attendance spike after this expensive addition.
I think there is more to this cancellation of the star wars expansion than just the Asian park problem. I am sure it also has to do with the fact that they are rethinking whether they should spend the money on more expansion in an area that wasn't received as hoped by the Star Wars fan community
Its a mediocre simulator that takes up a massive amount of real estate better situated for an X Wing coaster.I find the hate for MFSR online genuinely hilarious. It’s just a motion sim, but you’d swear it was Superstar Limo with the amount of smack it gets here.
In all fairness, it’s a ride really dependent on who you ride with. Loners like us on this site are probably not going to have a lot of fun in the back behind a family.

But imagine... The Falcon is a walk through attraction (with a walk up ramp!) and behind it is a Resistance hangar where you fly an X-Wing! It's a win for everybody.Oh my gosh please... drop the x wing coaster nonsense. You're a broken record, love ya, but stoppppppp.

Imagine a booth with a screen that gives you a choose-your-own-adventure choices regarding a debate in the Galactic Senate with regard to trade routes.
Imagine a million voices suddenly screaming out in terror and then suddenly silenced. I feel something terrible has happened.Imagine a booth with a screen that gives you a choose-your-own-adventure choices regarding a debate in the Galactic Senate with regard to trade routes.
It doesn't take much to make you happy. But imagine... The Falcon is a walk through attraction (with a walk up ramp!) and behind it is a Resistance hangar where you fly an X-Wing! It's a win for everybody.

I agree on all counts.Ok, so I went and rode Rise of the Resistance today, which means I've finally now done everything currently available at Galaxy's Edge. With that checkmark complete, I want to do a re-review of the entire land now that it's complete. I'm going to do it in a numbered list, with no particular order.
1. Rise of the Resistance is fantastic - Let's maybe restart this whole thing with the clear headliner. Back when the land first opened and I managed to go during the early months when no one was actually in the area, I lamented how badly the area needed Rise just to provide a can't-miss aspect. Now that I've gotten to experience it, I have to say that Rise absolutely lives up to the billing. It has had a lot of issues since opening that have been well-documented - I myself experienced a non-working Finn AA on my ride-through. But when it works, it ****ing works. The uncontained glee that my entire vehicle experienced on our first-ever ride through was something that is going to be hard to shake from my consciousness. In fact, after I rode, I called one of my best friends to rave about the ride, and we both have now created plans to go again on Thursday.
If you've seen the ride-through videos, you should know that the videos do not do the ride justice. Sure you get the general gist of the ride, but I would compare the difference to riding the Haunted Mansion and watching a video of it. The sheer ambiance that the ride fills you with cannot be overstated, while the effects actually work well in person, rather than the negative feeling I had watching them on video. And I'm still in shock that the ride systems actually worked to the ride's benefit, rather than being a gimmick (to give you a comparison, Forbidden Journey does something similar in that its ride system actively contributes to the story of the ride). It's a ride that demands multiple rides, not because it is hiding anything like HM does, but because it is a ride that grabs you by the scruff of your neck until you can't help but want to ride it again upon disembarking. That said...
2. Rise of the Resistance does not fix Galaxy's Edge - There is a flaw to RotR, in that it highlights all of the issues I had with Galaxy's Edge originally. There's music where GE lacks it. There's a water feature that adds kinetic energy where the land itself has none. The CMs all have characters and in-universe motivation where the rest of the land struggles to maintain it on a consistent basis, if they even try at all. It is maybe the most baffling aspect that RotR is at such a higher level of quality than the rest of the land.
3. Galaxy's Edge does have some quality - 2 and 3 are not mutually exclusive. I do actually like much of how Galaxy's Edge actually looks, even if it is out of place with the rest of the park from a scale standpoint. The buildings are definitely evocative of a specific place, and I do think it does fit into a general Star Wars aesthetic (and as an aside, I'm thankful that current WDI did not take a crack at recreating something like Tatooine or Endor. Let those continue to exist in my memories thanks). I think the land nails every one of its big reveal moments, from the transition from the outskirts (where Rise is) to the main city area, to the views coming through either Frontierland tunnel, to the first view of the Falcon you get. Honestly, I've walked through this area a ton over the past few months, and the Falcon reveal by itself gets me every time.
I also want to give a shout-out to the food options, which are rather good. I'm a fan of the Ronto Wrap, and one of my secret favorites is the Noodle Salad. The drinks at Oga's may be expensive, but they're all good to great, and they even went back and made the specialty popcorn good. They have a few new offerings that I've yet to try, but it says a lot about what I've experienced so far that I'm excited to try these.
4. Smuggler's Run works...as a complementary attraction - I went and rode MFSR after riding RotR, and it reinforced what I had believed before, which is that MFSR works much better as the complementary attraction of the land rather than the anchor. It is still a perfectly competent ride, though it really needs some extra missions quickly, but the 7 months it had to anchor the land probably did the ride more of a disservice than some would care to admit. If Disney ever does go through with a phase 2, I would hope they go back and make some updates to the queue and ride itself, but I think things can definitely improve, as the skeleton of the ride itself is fine.
