few points on the price:

  1. They're paying so much for the stay they're probably game for the experience.
  2. Certainly some will go for the 'prestige' of going and won't want to roleplay in every case or experience.
  3. Disney will recognize these are 'high rollers' and probably look to ensure they can do as they like, within reason.

And
4. There will be family members not fully onboard with the role playing but happy to experience things like Jedi Training for grown-ups.

🤔 Wonder who I could be referring to here. 😎

Does that include build-your-own lightsaber, build-your-own droid, costume prices, Bibbity bobbity boutique Star Wars style, etc.? It seems like the merchandise options are unlimited on top of the $3,000 pp per 2-night cruise.

If it is $3k per reservation and no in between off nights and each reservation drops $400 in Batuu... that's $190,000 per night. Multiply that by 365... that's income of $69M per year.

I don't know if that's the actual price. It's just the number I have stuck in my head from something I read probably months and months ago.

What I do know is that my husband's top request for our next trip to WDW is building his own lightsaber.

We're not super interested in the cosplay aspect, but I think a lot of people would suck it up and try it for 2 nights. If it were a 5- or 7-night "cruise" it'd be a lot less appealing. 2 days of Star Wars magic (not to mention if they add some sort of special access to SW:GE), then 5 nights or "regular" Disney sounds pretty decent.

I know based on the initial rumours / suggestions on price I worked out that for us as a family of 4 adults it would be about 6k if we shared one room or $8K if we each had a proper bed (ie: 2 rooms).
I think the price point was $2K pp for 2 plus $1K for every additional person in a room.

Yeah, that number was bandied about.

Go to this post.

And this post.

$3K is probably the high end for a full room for two nights if there is an extra charge for more people in the room (which there should be since they're paying for the event as wall as the lodging).

That's why I included a low-ball estimate above.

In the end, we don't know at all what the cost will be. Rumors have been all over the place.

Wait, it's $3k per reservation and that includes more time at another hotel/more park time? Or it's $3k per pop AND then the regular Disney costs on top of that?

I just don't know how many people have 1. an undying attachment to Star Wars 2. $3k for a two-night experience, not including plane tickets, souvenirs, etc.? You can get a 6 night stay (including a Galaxy's Edge visit) for four people for $6k, including airfare.

I guess I can see paying for it if it REALLY is like a cruise... but without an absolutely amazing experience attached, it seems dangerously close to the golf-leaf ice cream of theme park experiences--the only reason people do it is to show that they have the money to do it. Then, when the next big money item shows up, the influencers scatter, never to return.

Have you priced a week's stay at a deluxe resort lately?

And the only free thing they provide is a lobby band and chilled cucumber water. Add in the cost of several meals at their signature restaurant and park tickets.

We know there will be no pool because we have seen the plans and seen the construction. My assumption is that you will be able to stay there like a regular guest if that's what you really want to do.

Yes, some assumptions are better then others, but your original post stated those things as if they were fact not your personal assumptions.
they are really missing an opportunity....
a pool like in the movie passengers

My only question is "will Niles get comped a stay"? Desperately waiting to find out.

... and any internal numbers from pre-pandemic are probably going to get re-evaluated based on the business climate when this opens.

The key point to remember is that they only need about 30,000 people a year to fill the hotel. Considering that 10's of millions of people visit WDW each year, 30K shouldn't be to hard to hit under normal conditions.

A poly bungalow ranges $3000 a night at its cheapest and up to $5200 a night at its highest. That’s just for a room with no extra experiences or meals or anything. If Star Wars is $3000 a night and you get food, shows, special experiences and exclusive time in Galaxys Edge, that’s a pretty good deal compared to a bungalow.

Overpriced, I say.
