Wait "thinking" is a privilege? Thought some of the kings men were shot for that right? Odd.

The free interpretation of subject matter is not a privilege.
Spare me. It's a privilege to think that Disney, prior to Galactic Starcruiser or anything else, was somehow attainable to the masses and now it's not. It never was. Now it might be just a little harder for some than it was before.

I think Wall St is telling Disney to its faces they don't care about their guests. Just like wages and so on and so forth.
Pffffttt JP Morgan chose Disney as their 2022 pick for next year, clearly hinting a hint of things to come for them.

yeah, those cheeks and chin are pretty pronounced. Reminds me of this actor from the 80s and 90s, Robert Z'dar

I'm pretty sure that's Joe Swanson.

ok...? why is this a problem?
It won't be a problem if it's supposed to be ground based transportation after a shuttle lands you on Batuu .
A ground transport that drives you into Black Spire outpost.
But if it's supposed actually be the spacecraft taking you from the Halcyon down to Batuu, it's a pretty terrible idea.
You can't mask as bus.
A bus is going to feel like a bus.
No amount of interior cladding is going to hide that.

Except now it's chock full of kids (it was mostly adults when we ate there) and princesses.
That surprises me. I would've expected that at, say the Contemporary's California Grill, but eating in the castle would be a children/family thing at all times. (Or maybe that's why they went with the Princess theme - because kids didn't know who King Stefan was! :D )

Unlike you I can't afford such luxuries
I have never stayed at a Disney deluxe hotel... could never and still can't afford it. Just got back from Disney. Stayed at Pop.

So, the Halcyon is out of my price point, and I've not booked a 'cruise' with them.

There weren't many character meals back then...I think Crystal Palace (we met Grumpy there!) and Chef Mickey's were the two prominent ones that I remember. Plus, the princesses weren't being used as a marketing/toy selling machine back then, either, so the characters you DID meet were the original, old school characters. (It was pretty great, btw.)

I'm not sure enough attention is being paid to how horrific the arrival experience appears to be. Nothing says "magic" like arriving through the Studios cast member parking lot, seeing SWGE CMs smoking cigarettes on the way to their cars and a near total lack of obstruction for the coffin-like show building and rooms.

I don't see anyone arguing this? What I am seeing is arguing that a 4,000-6,000 experience should be absolute top-tier level of immersion and what we've been shown so far is definitely not that. It doesn't even come close to the level of immersion as seen in Galaxy's Edge. So what are people paying that much for, exactly?

The amazing thing is that Disney generally fudges so many of these promotional videos to make the experiences look far cooler than they actually are (the original SWGE promos for example had tons of characters you rarely see). They could have really could have made it all look far more cinematic and cooler - just for the video - but they decided not to. An entire list of executives and producers looked at the resort as is and said what they have is good enough to wow people. Then, upon seeing the final video said "yep, that's great! really will sell this!"

Horrific? Will guests be fainting of fright? Over dramatic much?

We've been through this before:

When you go on a cruise, you often are driving thru an industrial landscape because... ports are ports.

And you're not going to see the "coffin" unless you are helicoptering in. The people on ground level won't see the full shape at once.

Have you driven up to it? You see the show building.

It's almost a miracle that Crystal Palace is still Winnie the Pooh character dining and not overflow princess dining for people who couldn't get into Cinderella's Royal Table. Or, alternatively, a place to put other princesses that aren't featured at CRT like Anna, Elsa, Tiana, Rapunzel, and so on.

I guess Winnie the Pooh still has enough draw for children that they haven't felt like they needed to make a change.

All the whining about "its not fair - too expensive for me" and it should be for everyone to be able to visit the starcruiser. Where are all those complainers when Elon Musk is asking for hundreds of thousands to "fly" into space? Small cramped quarters, no pool, no massages...yet no complaining like this.

Most of us can;t afford it [space travel] yet many want to go but there is no outrage over the price? Could it be a secret hate for Disney? for the "haves" who can afford it? Be sure to apply your anger evenly, not just at Bob Chapek.
Are you really comparing an experience hotel.. with actually flying to space? dear lord...
