You mean they get strafed by f-14s?What the world needs is a "Final Countdown"-type event occurring during the American-English War of 1775.

Well, I was just thinking of the aircraft carrier, but on reflection, there's no way you could get one that far up the Delaware River. You mean they get strafed by f-14s?
It’s about 8 feet in some parts…Well, I was just thinking of the aircraft carrier, but on reflection, there's no way you could get one that far up the Delaware River.
…but tell me how you REALLY feel?Has anyone seen the pilot of the comic series for this? (Halcyon Legacy)
It's impressive how they shoehorn all the good Star Wars stuff into the storyline for this piece of garbage.
But guaranteed to be an amusing social experiment.I saw a photo of someone who received his starcruiser tunic on reddit. Didn't look bad, but the concern over there now is that those folks wont be able to be completely immersed in the Larpiness of this because other people will still be wearing tees and streetclothes. I think the hard core LARPers who are looking forward to this are going to be angry that the Smith family isn't playing along and that little bobby has a slinky dog tshirt on and dad just wants to drink some beer and not play make believe while the kids go do their thing. So few ways for this thing to be a success and so many ways for it to turn out poorly.
This sentence encapsulates the whole project very nicely. Kudos. So few ways for this thing to be a success and so many ways for it to turn out poorly.
Right, but unfortunately I doubt the handful of hard core people will be satisfied since they won't be fully immersed. There's "playing along" and "fully committing." Disney has been very clear that you can do as much of either as you wish. You can also choose to sit back and observe with drink in hand.
I'd be more concerned of a bunch of people wearing the same exact outfit from the Disney Store than some people still in regular street clothes. Thinking of Renaissance Faires and there is a fair share of people who do not dress up and LARP and it works out just fine.I saw a photo of someone who received his starcruiser tunic on reddit. You can imagine can't you?Ya know, Civil War Reenactors are LARPers, too.
So, the next time some of you doubters, who are all ""confused"" about what this is about, meet one, ask them about it.
And as they explain, just heavily roll your eyes at them. And keep saying "Really? You enjoy *that*?"
And ask them egregiously stupid questions about highly unlikely scenarios like "What if someone dressed up in a Star Trek uniform?" or "What if someone brought live ammo to the reenactment?".
Because that kind of interaction is so respectful and sincere.

I wonder if there will be a cap on the number of adult beverages consumed consecutively? There's "playing along" and "fully committing." Disney has been very clear that you can do as much of either as you wish. You can also choose to sit back and observe with drink in hand.
Oga figured it out with the 45 minute time limit. You have to order your second drink before you taste the first one.I wonder if there will be a cap on the number of adult beverages consumed consecutively?

They better not…I bet a lot of people will need fo self medicate on this oneI wonder if there will be a cap on the number of adult beverages consumed consecutively?
Oga's Pro-Tip: try to score a reservation just before or just after park close. Oga's officially stays open 1 hour past park close (which is why you can get rezzies at 9:15 when the park closes at 9), but unofficially they will not kick you out (I mean, if it's 2 AM, they might start to highly encourage you to leave). They also tend to ignore the 2-drink cap as the night progresses.Oga figured it out with the 45 minute time limit. You have to order your second drink before you taste the first one.
