Regarding the price, if we are talking about 3 days/2 night sessions, then it is likely one set up with be a weekend one (Friday to Sunday) while the others will be during the week (Sun-Tues & Tues-Thur; Sun-Tues & Wed-Fri; Mon-Wed & Wed-Fri)

So, why question is whether the price will be constant among all three. It seems very unlikely to me that the Fri-Sun stays would not be a higher cost than the weekday ones.

Oh! That's a great question. Wife and I can't justify $10K for a DCL cruise for a week. There's no way we will justify $7200 for the five of us to go.

I think demand will stay fairly steady. If I recall correctly, aren't there only approximately 200 rooms/cabins? If so, then the demand should outstrip the supply for a while.
I don’t see the pull of Star Wars or the price garnering enough business except in the short term

And it’s years away...who knows how far it can sink by then?

But what this does is gets people there for 2 nights to hook them into another 5.

I don’t know what demographic that will serve except the existing high income Disney one? And let’s face it...they are already in vacation club and there anyway

Ummm, the die hard Star Wars fans perhaps? Who may never have set foot in a Disney park before, and still may not.

The price tag likely won’t matter to them. I know on a couple of forums my DH is on, there are already groups forming, just waiting until they can book this.

That demographic is overstated as evidenced by the lack of attendance in Disneyland.

I knew somebody would give the “uh duh” response without thinking about it...you win 🎯

There’s one ride open, why would they go now? Galaxy’s Edge is kind of an add-on for them. I did say many would never dream of going to Disney parks, but they’ll visit when they can do the resort stay, especially since it’s included.

I’ve been saying this from when the resort was first announced, 2 years ago.

The site that shall not be named has posted the full plans for the hotel.

I'm taking the source with an obvious grain of salt, but....
One of the highlights of the experience will be an attack by the First Order, likely still looking for the spy from Batuu. Guests will conduct a space assault from the bridge of the ship, but at some point, Kylo Ren will come aboard the ship. Railings and such will spark as laser blasts are fired, but Kylo will supposedly make this large piece on the ceiling “collapse” down towards guests using his Force powers during the show. He’ll also have the ability to pull actors on the ship towards him using his abilities (and special platforms located on the catwalk to make the magical effect happen).

Ok, yep, that's where the $3300 per person comes from, lol.

I'm SO torn on this one, because it looks and sounds very cool, and I love Star Wars, but I am not totally into the full-on LARP aspect of this. I'm fine with playing along at Disney to an extent, but for days? I get that it's intended to be this fully immersive thing, and that's awesome and ambitious, it's just...not really my thing. If that's the only way to experience the hotel, AND the price is super steep...ehhhh.

I guess I'll need to read more about what all is included and how it works. I just feel like it should make them a wee bit nervous if I, a total sucker who has spent entirely too much money on Disney trips and Star Wars, am hesitant about this one.

Ok...so you’re of the mind that the one ride dried up interest for a Star Wars land that has been called for by the Star Wars fanbase in most minds for 42 years?

Even though the revelation it wouldn’t open came after it should have been booked?

Fair stance...but I do have two questions:

1. I assume you’ve been on a trackless? Ratatouille at a minimum...and get that there are limitations to them that will impact the rides effectiveness?

2. If this theory - let’s face it it’s the pro-Disney supports stance - is not correct, then where does the narrative retreat to? The Alamo or the pass at Thermopylae? 😉

What do you do if you have kids that aren’t into it or tire?

I don’t think anyone has asked that in 2 years of conjecture and prognostication.

I feel like, if it were more like just a hotel with some really cool Star Wars theming, if you have a family member who's not super into it, it's less of an ask to have them tag along than it is to be like "yep, we're staying here, and you have to play along, in part because we're paying a huge amount of money to include you." 😄

My kids really love Star Wars and are at the ages where I think they would probably be SUPER into this, but if I had one kid who loved Star Wars and another that didn't care or actively didn't want to play along, I mean...I can't leave one kid out of the family vacation, but I also wouldn't want to pay thousands of dollars for my child to participate when they don't even want to.

I’m curious to see what they make the outside of the hotel look like.

The concept is that you will enter the hotel through what is essentially a "space port" where you will board a space-elevator/transport that will take you up to the orbiting space cruiser. The space cruiser is NOT supposed to have landed on Earth and hence there is no reason the building should appear like the space cruiser. As others have stated, the front of the actual building should look like an airport terminal (as seen below), but the majority of the rest of the building will be obstructed from view (likely by trees).
