What is the "court yard" view of the Wilderness Lodge?

Are you able to request to be up high like 6th floor? Where would you request? Does it cost extra? Normally?

Thanks

Courtyard view is a view of the central courtyard with the geyser. Standard view is a parking lot.

Call the hotel in advance and request a higher room.

Courtyard is also overlooking the quiet pool between the lodge and the villas. I like the woods view facing the MK, Rooms _020 to _032.

So are woods view rooms only on the MK side now? I always preferred a woods view room on the south wing before the Villas were there. I suspect all of them on that side are courtyard now. Are the ones above the lobby facing the bus stop still standard category or are they courtyard now too?

Anything to get more money, just like all the other resorts have done.

No, I said I liked those

As for the rest, I'm not sure. We stayed courtyard overlooking the quiet pool (room 6051 I believe) the last few times. We have only ever not gotten our requested location once and were upgraded to courtyard for our inconvenience.

I love the courtyard view facing the waterfall area....it was so peaceful on a few days we had to stay "home" due to illness....to have the sliding door open and listen to the birds and water....:king:

hmmm I called them and asked to be upper floor like the 6th floor and not parking lot. Or as possible. They didn't say it cost more. I will call them and ask them for price differences...or do you think the 6th floor for standard will atleast give an interesting view?

If I am arriving on June 14th, when should I call to request? What is the best time of day to call?

They don't accept calls and faxes anymore. You make your request when you make your reservations. You can ask when you are checking in what is available. Last time the CM gave us the map and let us pick out our own room.

If I were you I would request the main courtyard yiew in the south wing, 4th or 5th floor. The 6th floor is not an open balcony like the other floors. You would have to be standing to get the view. Just remember a courtyard view is considerably more than a standard view room.
