That was the one with Dave right? The guy who liked benches?
Yes, it is. And that was the last of the interesting and "gee, now I want to go there" videos they did. I think the next year they had one where it was like in a cloud and they had CM's talking about how spiritually moved they were about their job in the parks. Sorta like... hey, wanna keep your job say something good about us and how dedicated you are to making people happy. I'm a senior citizen. The last thing I need is to be reminded of the great beyond in an angelic type approach.

It may be nostalgia, but I still think HCOE was the best event/celebration that WDW has put on.
I might be inclined to agree if I had that faintest idea what HCOE stood for. What we used to say to my children when they were little and communicated with a grunt and pointy finger. Use your words!;)o_O

Happiest Celebration on Earth.

There are a lot of abbreviations that bug me. It's not that hard to type things out. But Happiest Celebration on Earth is a mouthful even to say. I heard it called HCOE quite a bit even in the parks.

Unpopular opinion, but I miss the complete overviews of the four parks. Or, near complete. Granted, we're going back more than a few years...

I know, I miss that as well. They went over just about every ride. Now it's just a brief overview of "must do's" which is fine, and Stacey is ok, but I just find it lacking compared to the old overviews.

Thanks Dave, but, I honestly could have sat here for weeks and not come up with that. Not only that, but, that was 13 years ago. I have a tough time remembering what I did yesterday.

Now that I know what it is, yes, it was a good one and that was just to celebrate Disneyland's 50th. I know this won't be popular, but, I very much enjoyed WDW's 25th and the Castle Cake within. That one was the absolute most "in your face" one that they ever had.

Side note: I can honestly say that I don't recall ever hearing it referred to as HCOE. But, I don't get out much.

Dave was my hero-he had the BEST ideas for my vacation at WDW. Regarding Stacey-Juliard is an extremely prestigious school-some great performers went there. But nothing beats the "zip a dee do day-tip for the day." I had videoed it on my cell phone years ago, but then I never transferred it and lost it when I traded in the phone. I miss it!

She will not be getting that atomic wedgie at Summit Plummet when she is in her 60's and have it have the same affect.

This is not too far off, considering she’ll be AARP eligible this year. At some point, will Disney go with pretending Stacey is much younger than she actually is, or will they portray her as an older person who can still be young at heart?

I was a big Kryssa fan. And you can see Erin Cahill pop up on TV from time to time. She was just on a medical show last week - I think it was The Resident.

I remember getting the planning video with Erin in it. I put it onto play and the boys were so excited that the Pink Ranger was on it. I wasn't totally sure it was her, but they were adamant it was! They never stopped watching that, before and after the trip. :joyfull:
