A long time ago, MiceAge showed a vintage EPCOT Center photo of I think FutureCorps...the future world band...and ever since they redid the AT&T uniforms in 1994 to...IMO...a very random placement of red, tan, and green....since Seimens is all about blue and green...couldn't disney designers take inspiration from these future corps uniforms for new seimens uniforms for epcot's 25th?

One of my family Cast Members got to see the new SSE uniforms somehow. (I forget how.) She said they were very Retro Epcot, so I trust her that they will be!

Does Project Tomorrow have SSE cast members in it...maybe on October 1st, or earlier we will see their new uniforms! :sohappy:

Yes it does, and there is also a position by the refurb wall at the entrance to SSE to answer questions (I really feel for the CMs in this position - in just the few times a day I walk by this area I hear the most outrageous questions being asked in regards to SSE and its closure).

This is a bit off topic, but future corps was by far one of the best things in all of Epcot. There's not one thing I miss there more than them. I really wish we could see them resurrected.

I don't remember the future corps (too young) can anybody tell me what they were about? I do like the uniforms.

All of the news so far about Spaceship Earth has been very exciting. And the hits just keep on coming. Some people around here (or used to be around here) might throw up in their mouth at the notion that Disney might honor the past in a new redesign of the CM uniforms, but I think it's fantastic and I'm sure they'll look awesome.

I'll tell you, the path closure for the crane around SSE is really a drag on traffic flow. It'll be nice when that's open again, at least in time for busy winter season.

With all the groups there in July it was a log jam plus through there. But, its well worth it for what's coming. Can't wait! Wish I was coming back much sooner.

I dunno, if they go retro on the uniforms but completely change the theme of the ride (which is exactly what it looks like is happening) won't that just upset everyone?

I think most of us trust Disney/Siemens on this one. I think you'll be disappointed with the lack of complaints after this rehab :p

I doubt it. There was that idiot flipping out about removing the spiders from HM. A basically complete retheme from communications to technology on SSE will get a lot of complaints around here.

Complaints in the park? Probably not. But here? Oh yes. Especially from the 'I love 1995 Epcot' crowd, since its another step away from it.

With the number of people on this forum, there are going to be a lot of different opinions. Some people are better at coping with that than others. One man's trash is another's treasure. I never particularly cared for the spider scene, but that doesn't mean someone else couldn't have loved it. And if they did love it, then I would be upset if they DIDN'T let their feelings be known if they post regularly on a site like this.

We really don't know the way that is going to go. It could be very subtle, it might be completely different, or the theme might not change at all. I think YOU wanting it to change from the way the park opened is letting you get ahead of yourself.

As I said before, just because you think this is going to radically change the attraction doesn't mean it is what is going to happen. Also it seems when things are done well and it appears effort went into a change, people are much more willing to be positive. And yes with the number of people here at WDWMagic, not everyone is going to like every single thing that happens. For your sake, I hope there are plenty of complaints for you to enjoy reading :)

You can say that 'we don't know' thats it is the way its going to go, but every good rumor that has come out about it has said that the new attraction is going to be focused on technological influences. The only thing that hasn't been clear is if its only technology influencing communication or technology influencing all different things.

But when the rumors are all pointing to the same thing, its pretty much assured that they are correct.

But it doesn't matter how much they change things. There is that whole group that hates to see ANY change, and will be upset about even minor things.

That's not what I'm saying. If indeed the focus is on technology now instead of communication, does it mean that all will change is some wording in the ride narration, or will there be that plus some minor changes to the show scenes, or will there be wholesale changes to most of the show scenes. We don't know that yet.

But perhaps it is going to be a step towards the 1985 version of the park. Perhaps they can mesh some of the best themes and ideas of some of the extinct attractions into the new SSE.

SSE being transformed into a look at the past, present, and future of technology pertaining to how it effects our everyday lives would be fine by me.

As long as they keep the ride style the same and do not install a roller coaster I would be fine with it. Changing from communication to technology would not require a drastic change in my opinion.
