SSE Ride entrance signs have been removed

I have a feeling the new SSE sign will use LED letter backlighting that is popping up quite often nowadays. Here is an example:

Except I picture SSE using blue backlighting. Anyone else think this would fit well?

I agree though, it makes more sense for them to replace it with signage that meshes better with the new SSE. Here's hoping it still looks classy.

The ones are the awards show are moreso the "display board" style, but for SSE i was thinking something akin to the ChromaPanel:

Those are electroluminescent panels, not LED's. They would make for a neat looking sign though...

I, too, am a huge fan of that particular piece of art and have been watching it very closely. It is still there, safe and sound. I will continue to keep an eye on it - because, like you, I would be crushed if it disappeared (a la the amazing Horizons mural "The Prologue and the Promise").

Yes it is, I went in there today.

There are also only about 4-6 star pegs (stubble) left on the exterior of SSE...you can also see torch marks when you drive by on the monorail.
