Springbok coming to Kilimanjaro Safaris

Springbok have been on site for a long time, they were planning on introducing them awhile ago but the project was derailed, it should be back on track soon though. They look very similar to the Thomson's Gazelle and can jump very high straight up in the air. Should be a fun addition.

The Giraffe's though will probably end up over at the lodge though, probably not the Safari (though that may have changed since the last time I heard news).

I just did this today and the driver deffinetly called something she was pointing out springbok.

I think they were laying in the trees on the left hand side after they point out the termite mounds

From a friend who works there. They should be introduced soon. and supposedly they can jump over the jeeps. That's what he was told by his management.

This is awesome. Springboks are really cool, as far as antelopes go. They're native to South Africa and the Kalahari desert. The South African national rugby team is called the Springboks.

An excellent addition. They're similar to the Tommies but have the potential of livening up the savanna with their leaping about.

With Drew being the source of all our costume and character changes, I have no choice to believe that there will be cast members inside the springboks.

They were too closely named to tommy guns and were on the banned assault animal list.
Nice!
Having fired a Thompson not too long ago, I can tell you that the Tommie must be an exceptionally powerful and dangerous animal, to be named for such a weapon.

The Herd of Tommies at the Safari was getting old, and the wet and wild ground of the Savanna at the Safari was getting to be too much for them, so for health reasons they were moved to the Lodge, where the ground is easier to walk on.

As far as other changes go you can indeed expect that baby giraffe to be on show late this summer presuming everything goes well. The Baby Okapi is already on show, and is very lively.
