@RMicheal21 - Well done sir. I haven't read much of your work, but I was quite impressed. The location you chose does seem like it could use a more extensive "food cart" like establishment. I also really appreciated the backstory, but I would caution you on using well known individuals in your backstories. As I was reading the story I kept wondering about how Hillary would have been able to climb Everest despite being scared off the mountain like he was. Maybe he climbed Everest before he ran into the yeti? You menu was also a little on the thin side. I understand that there's not much you can do with a food cart, and the seasonal menus was a nice touch, but I would have liked to see more creativity here. Overall though, this was a nice first submission.
@englanddg - Very, very clever as always. You chose to go with a tested ip, and that doesn't necessarily lose points in my book. The Swedish Chef is definitely one of the more interesting characters that Disney has access to, and you seem to really tap into his eccentricities. The airstream trailer, as beat up and quirky as it may be, was a favorite touch of mine not only because it fits the theme but because I could easily see it near the Muppet's theater in the near future. The show and store were both good ideas. The each will increase foot traffic and create additional income for the food cart. I really don't have anything to critique, this was a great proposal and was very, very well thought out.
@MonorailRed - You always have some nice artwork Red. It seems like every time you turn in an idea you include artwork that really helps me, as a reader, visualize what you have in you head. I also really like the flatbread idea. It's definitely a unique idea that, if marketed properly, could become a popular new item in the Disney food repertoire. Also, it was nice to see you work in an interest from outside of the Disney universe. As a college student, I really appreciated your combination of interests here. One thing that I think you can think about for next time is where you located your food cart. The area you chose is highly congested as it is. I'm not so much worried about the proximity to Pecos Bill, but the area is wildly packed on many days which may drive people to avoid the cart simply to get out of the mosh pit. I love the idea, and I think it definitely fits with the location, but there's probably a reason that Disney hasn't put anything back there.
@JokersWild - Wow. You're new around here so I didn't know what to expect out of you, but believe me I was impressed. I know what to expect from most of the other contestants, and they're all great imagineers with a lot of talent, but if you can keep up this level of production you'll be competitive in any competition you want to compete in. I loved the combination of streetmosphere and food cart. It all seemed to work together very, very well. Dan and Don were both very lively, funny characters who would fit right in in DHS. The wrappers was a great touch, the kind of thing that I love to see in proposals. Going forward I would definitely tell you to watch the way you present your ideas. Steam of consciousness worked this time, but it usually won't. Also, don't be afraid to use pictures; they really help the reader to see your idea the way you envision it. One more thing, your menu confused me at points. The Cobb Fries sounded tremendous, but where does Poutine and Greek food tie in with burgers and hotdogs. Overall though, I loved the idea and this was a great first submission.
@mharrington - First off, thanks for joining us. I hope you have as much fun as the rest of us typically do. Now, on to your submission. First, I really liked your backstory. It served as a way to get more characters worked in to Storybook Circus and that's never a bad thing. Additionally, I thought your rationale as to why to serve cold stuffs was well thought out and showed you had spent some time thinking about your submission. Going forward, I would tell you to be more sure of yourself. There were times in your submission where I could tell that you didn't think much of your own submission and you really shouldn't do that. When you submit something, try to be confident about it. It's your work and, win or lose, you should be proud that you were able to think of an idea on such short notice. Also, try to flesh out your ideas a little more. There were times that I wanted more from your submission but it just wasn't there. All in all, I see a lot of potential in you as far as challenges are concerned. You have the chops to be a good imagineer on these boards, we see that in your own threads, now just take what you have to the challenges. You can do it.
@Matt7187 - As with other submissions, the backstory was probably the strongest point to your submission. An entrepreneurial family setting up a shop, with the family theme being carried all the way through to the name tags, was an interesting take on how your cart came into being. My big concern with your proposal is your heavy reliance on Nepalese food and drink. Now, I realize that other submissions used international foods, but many of them were things like Swedish meatballs or flatbreads (things many people have tried or heard of before). While I have no doubt that Nepalese food is delicious, I worry about how well this could be marketed to the typical WDW-going consumer. Besides, one of the treats was named 'barfi' and I (and many people I would imagine) won't have much desire to eat anything with the word barf in the name. I liked the idea and I would probably frequent the cart, but I worry about the viability of the concept.

His idea was incredibly creative and, while his was not the most fleshed out, I feel like the pure amount of energy that this idea would provide to a dilapidated park gives his idea the edge.
