I never thought I'd ever even consider going to WDW over Spring Break, but my husband wants to do the Inline Marathon that is on 3/30/03. Just wanted to know if we should book rooms ASAP and also wanted to know when codes come out for March, if any. Thanks!

Well, I went in 2000 over spring break and got a room at POR for $120 a night....made the ressies 3 days before leaving. I'm not sure if that's the norm or not. Honestly, people on these boards talk about it being packed, etc. but I really didn't find that to be the case. Lines weren't that long and I managed to get my picture taken with about a million different characters. No problems getting in for meals either. Like I said, not sure if this is normal or not, but I wouldn't have a problem going during spring break again.

I have always found Spring Break to be one of the best times to go...many people think there is a lot of people down there, but I don't seem to think so...

I would book reservations now this way you will definately get a room. Then if codes are released later on you can always cancel the reservation and make new ones.

I am a home based travel agent who does lots of tours with school groups, one of which was a trip to Disneyworld over spring break. It was so crowded that the MK closed its gates at 10:00am. The wait for a ride was at least 2 hours long. I think that you would be o.k. waiting until after the first of the year to make your reservations, especially if you are not too picky about which resort to stay at. I have a strong feeling they will release new discount codes around the first or second week of January.

While i was there this past March, they closed MK to non-resort guest due to the crowds. They turned people away at the parking lot gate. I''ve been different times of the year and March was definately the busiest.
