hey...

ok...since I'm away at school....I finally get SPRING BREAK....coming from MA I got april and febuary vacation..never in march....well now I get 3 weeks off in march....

I'm spending the first 10 days in England for a lax tourniment...:king:

So I'm looking at something like the 16-21...or even a full week....

It's just going to be my mom and I...and I would like to book a deluxe resort...and "go all out".....

Here are my uestions

1) CROWDS...will it be mobbed with people....
2) Does nearly everyone have that break....
3) Is it worth it...been down before...last august...should we just wait...
4) Are those weeks expensive...

We kinda just want to relax...at the resort....so we would like to stay at a relaxing atmosphere....but yet close to the boardwalk area....

thanx for all the help...

DD:kiss:

Well, let's see. The fam and I go every Spring Break around the third week in March. Expect crowds, it is one of if not the most crowded time of the year, as you get closer to Easter the crowds get bigger and bigger. We never had a bid problem with crowds though, lines were never unbearable and the weather at that time is unbeatable, (Mid to High 80's and have never had too much rain). Unfortunately, this time also falls in the peak season which means it's the most expensive time of the year, especially in the deluxe resort category. Hope that helps.

Easter is late this year--April 20.

But that week in March will be very busy.

Personally, I would go whenever schedules and $$ permits.

Be aware that there will be long lines for everything, and be mentally prepared.

Make PS's and use Fast Pass--you know the drill.

I went two years ago Easter it was ok.

If you religious they have mass at the contemporary.

The Easter parade was horrible that year - I guess it was the first year they got rid of it.

Oh yeah the weather was starting to get muggy.

We go during the traditional Spring Break time, and we hardly ever encounter problems.

The $$$ isn't that bad either...we use 2 credit cards, and some cash.

Not that bad, compared to other experiences.

I would recommend the spring break time as the best time to go.

I'll be down there too!

It's not that bad! I don't know why people think it's so bad! If I had to choose between Spring Break and summertime, spring break would win!

I hate summer @ WDW!

I've been there in mid-March twice - once as a college student in the early 90's, once as an adult with kids in 2001. To answer your questions:

1) It will be crowded, but nothing like Christmastime or (as I've heard), summer. If you follow the normal drill (get there at opening, use Fastpass, go back to the hotel the busy times of the day), it's very doable and you can avoid the worst lines. This is the time of year where touring plans like in the "Unofficial Guide" will make a huge difference!

2) Yep, or at least some time around then.

3) Only you can answer that question. I will say that March is just about the nicest weather I've encountered when visiting Disney. (You won't freeze if you go to water parks, but it's not opressively hot, either)

4) Ten years ago, they had discounted one-day one-park tickets for college students during spring break. No idea if those are still around, but if so, check them out! Four of them were considerably cheaper than a four day park hopper. (though, of course, you lose the park hopping ability.)

I went to Disney for three Spring Breaks 98, 99, and 00. None of them were so crowded that we couldn't stand it. It's nice and warm but not too hot. I think that it is better to go then then during the Feb/April vacations. Those are very crowded. You have 3 weeks in March for Spring break? You sound like a BSC student but they only received two I think. I would say go for it though. With the right company and the right resort (definitely go deluxe if you can) it won't matter how crowded, or not crowded, it is. Just use FastPass with the longer lines. You will still have a great time. Good luck with the Rugby tournament!

Hey there as previously mentioned I agree anytime at WDW is better than none at all!!! That having been said, I am not one for crowds and generally tend to plan my vacations around when will be the least crowded times of the year to go, but without sacrificing stuff Id like to do such as the MVMCP for instance. The only price difference would be on the resorts. That is one of the highest price ranges to go during though. Check out WWW.WDWIG.COM for information on the pricing for different times of the year for the different resorts. Good luck Belle
