Have your daughter add her name and info the Official Cps thread. There are a bunch of us from WDWmagic who are going to be there for the College Program in the spring. We are trying to find a day that we can all meet up on. We will certainly invite her we know she'll be there.

I looked at NC State, but decided on Clemson instead. It's such a pretty school with a great atmosphere. I have to say I wasn't as impressed with NC State, but it was still very nice. Although, I wish you guys hadn't beaten us on national television in football this year. But I guess it's okay because we redeemed ourselves with the FSU win!

Woohoo!! For the meet, but the original date I was thinking, um...yeah, I think we should wait because I'd only be there two days, and I think that might be a little too soon. Plus, there are more arrival dates after me. I'm thinking more along the lines of Febuary 5th....hehehe :) YaY for us all!

The site is good for some questions. I've also got a website www.geocities.com/wdwturkeyleg that has some pictures of the apartments, what to expect, some questions you need to ask yourself, etc.

Time to add my name to this round-up. I'm Aaron and I was on the program from August of 2002 to May of 2003. I started in custodial at Animal Kingdom and I absolutely loved it. I extended as a character (that's a picture of me to the left!). In January I'm going back as a cp and I plan to move there permanently after that. I hope to see you all down there. ok, i am getting pretty nervous now. i've spent the last two days on the phone with just about everyone who has anything to do with the college program offices, and the word i am getting is that if i am not selected for the advanced internship, there likely wont be any cp positions left, so i will be out of luck.

i'll know about the ai by the 12th at the very latest, and in the meantime, i'll just be going crazy worrying about it all. <img src="http://mywebpages.comcast.net/prd3000/smileys/bigcry.gif">

I have a friend who is in the exact same position right now. He's really wigging out.

Try not to let it get to you too much though--a couple of years ago one of my friends applied for an AI and they told him he would know by Dec 7. Well, when he called them on Dec. 7, they said "We won't be making that decision until around February 23" so, on Feb 23, they pushed him back till April, and you get the picture. He finally just ended up moving down there and getting a position at the All-Stars.

Good luck though, I'm sure you will hear good things soon!!

I hope it works out for you with the AI. I wouldn't count on the CP position though.

Unfortunately for me it didn't, but I was applying for a management internship. I called and left several messages during the two weeks before Thanksgiving. No one would get back to me, so I finally e-mailed them.

I finally heard back yesterday afternoon with the standard too many candidates letter. My name was in a different color font, the letter was just pasted in a different color.

I write them back asking what about the regular CP that I talked about in my cover letter and why it took so long to get back to me.

Anyway, I hear back this morning. They ignore my why it took so long and say that I'm not getting a CP position.

Reason 2: All positions are filled.

Reason 1: I'm not a student this semester, even though I am enrolled in 12 hours and still a campus rep. :hammer:

well, if i dont get the AI or the CP, i am just going to move down, find an apartment, and try to get fulltime work SOMEWHERE in the company, to hold me over untill i can get a good job utilizing my degree.

so i will know about the ai by the end of next week, and i called my area manager a few hours ago, and he is going to see what he can find out about me getting the cp if that ai falls thought (he had made some calls for me a few weeks ago to some managers of at the cp offices, and they assured him that i would have a cp spot waiting for me), so hopefully he can use his influence to help me out.

either way, i am stressing out like a madman!

Yea.

That's what I'm doing too.

However, my options are running out. I'm stuck going FT.
