Look if my child has to go to the restroom an hour into the process we're not starting over we're going to the bathroom and getting back in line with my wife and other child if you don't like that then there might be an issue if I had to walk by you. I would tell you that for sure because you would not be stopping me to get back to my wife and child after taking my other child to the restroom I promise you that

Not one of these internet tough guys would do a single thing to stop you. Nothing except grumble under their breath as you pass them to get back in line.;)

You can think a certain behavior is right or wrong. But why does everybody think "they" have the right to "enforce" Disney policy? If you see something that you feel is against policy, simply report the behavior and let those employed by Disney sort it out. So many times I've seen people in the parks try and "self-police". And it NEVER turns out the way they think it will.

Because they are keyboard warriors. Nothing more, nothing less.

There is no legitimate reason. If you can't hold your business wear a diaper. It isn't as if you don't know that a line is going to 90 minutes long, and if you are sick and need frequent trips to a restroom then stay home and stop trying to expose everyone else in the world to whatever virus is causing you problems. IBS isn't even a valid excuse because when you have IBS you know what is going to set it off, so avoid those things when you know you're going to be standing a line and you probably already know about using a diaper. If they enforced it with zero tolerance it wouldn't be a problem. The real problem is when they make exceptions for anyone it gives an example of others not to follow the rules and then others follow that example.
As a diabetic who uses an insulin pump, there have been a few instances when I’ve needed to step out of line because my tubing/infusion set has become dislodged and it’s critical I reinsert another one. I absolutely can’t do this standing in line. I’ve also had to step out do to some blood sugar issues. No way would Igo to the end of the line while my family is waiting in standby for FoP for 1.5 hrs. I’ve apologized profusely and politely excused myself and made sure I told the CM on my way out that I needed to take care of a medical device issue just so if I had to deal with someone that wouldn’t let me pass and threatened me (it’s never happened, thankfully) the CM would be aware.

Sad that the Golden Rule that so many of us learned as childrenhas been forgotten as adults

Very inconsiderate and selfish I my opinion, people have to go and you should not have to all get out of line and START OVER, that is ludicrous

Then don't get out of line. If I do then guess what I do then? That's right, I get in the back of the line. I am not so arrogant to assume that my spot will be held for me because I refuse to disrespect others like that. ;)

Now you're just being silly. If you have a medical/personal issue and you walk past people quickly telling them every so often what the problem is then I seriously doubt you'd have any problems getting back past those people. You and I both know that. If I have never seen you before and you're trying to squeeze past me to "catch up" to your group then no. You cannot pass. Find some other sucker to go past.

And what "Golden Rule" are you talking about? Line cutters must be allowed at all times?

It’s not that we don’t like it...it’s we all know you’re just scary words . A dog with no bite. 🐕

Oh look. You see a few comments from me on a message board and you think you know me. I could make a few assumptions about you as well but I do not know you either so I will just keep those to myself. However, please keep going at me. I live for your approval so, there's that going for you. ;)

Now who's the internet tough guy? I could say the same about you. Too chicken to put your hands on me and move me out of your way. All you'll do is grumble under your breath as you walk yourself to the back of the line. See it works on my end too. Lets just agree that you'll continue to be an entitled person who thinks everything should be done your way and other people should just deal with it and I am the type of person that refuses to think I am the center of the universe. See? We can agree on something.

And that is all I have to say about the subject. ;) I have enough work to do today that I don't have time to keep talking to someone who thinks they are "special". Have nice day.

Since the easy thing to do would have been to call and confirm what is acceptable, I decided to do just that. Was on hold for 17 minutes, and it's currently 11:23am EST here. Spoke to a guest services representative named Renia, and a supervisor named Lauren to confirm what I was told. Per both, it is perfectly acceptable to leave the line individually, or with a child and return to your party if they are still in line.

Because of how this thread devolved, I then asked what happens if a confrontational guest was encountered who would not allow you to pass? I was told to return to the entrance and have a cast member escort you, or if one was not available, you'd be sent through the FastPass entrance (of which the cast member at loading area would be notified). When the next cast member was encountered, you'd be essentially put aside to wait for your party.

So holding a spot in line for people elsewhere is not allowed per Disney policy, but leaving a line you're already in to use the restroom and then rejoin your party in line is perfectly acceptable.

Last time I was at WDW, I was in the standby queue for Peter Pan's Flight when a girl in the family behind me needed to use the restroom (I assume). When she returned, rather than make her way back through the queue to reunite with her party, she waited by an entry point near where the FP queue and the standby queue merge. Once her party caught up to that point, a CM let her through to rejoin them.

This seems fine to me and if such an option is possible on each attraction (I know in some cases it is not), then I don't see any problem. Of course, there will be some bad apples who would misuse this, but that can't be avoided.

Wow imagine that......... a theme park that caters to families understanding that things come up in line.
Man, talk about deja vu.

Thanks for Sharing your info.

If you have been waiting in the line already and you politely are trying to leave the line with a medical excuse like the one you have explained than that is one thing. It is those guests that are coming from the back of the line where there party has gotten in the line earlier and these people think they are going to get passed my wide butt. They need to think again. I am from Canada and I know how to give a nice Ice Hockey hip check. 😄 Seriously though, if I see a guest is in distress from being overcome by the heat and it has quickly bothered there stomach or something like that or any other medical reason I wouldn't have any problem letting them through to the group they were with. I know I'd want to be treated the same if I got sick in a long line.

How do you know they did not leave the line before you got in it............
Perhaps using your Canuk politeness to figure out the liars from the truthtellers?
Hip check......really.
