I don’t care about Iger. He has absolutely nothing to do with my review.Doesn’t matter on the only “Main Street” slick Bobby pays attention to:
The scene shows Snow White, the dwarfs, and the animals all cleaning together.Even "Whistle While You Work" has changed lyrics since the animals nor Snow White are working.
I’m not trying to get his attention.Doesn’t matter on the only “Main Street” slick Bobby pays attention to:
He’s trying to get your money…all of it.I’m not trying to get his attention.
Which is why they need to knock this off and do their jobs: which is to build with new stories as they always have,At the end of the day I've been skeptical of this film's box office performance from the beginning. The 1937 film was an incredible accomplishment and beautiful film in its era but the story has not aged well. It's in the same category as Dumbo, not The Lion King or The Little Mermaid.
I know this will probably be controversial among those on this forum, but I just don't think audiences were going to be very interested in a remake of Snow White regardless of execution.
Since he’s made himself the entire core of everything Disney does…I’m not sure your indifference matters at all.I don’t care about Iger. He has absolutely nothing to do with my review.
He’s not getting all my money; don’t worry so much! He’s trying to get your money…all of it.
And he will not be denied. I see you’re going on DCL with its 80% profit margin though
The point is this…when they fail…they just turn the screws on quality and price to recoup it.
Sad but true.
I think green lighting this particular project was a mistake, however it's undeniable that audiences are more likely to buy tickets to movies based on pre-existing popular IP. However, I don't consider Snow White to be a "popular" IP.Which is why they need to knock this off and do their jobs: which is to build with new stories as they always have,
Also, I don't know your taste but I think you might want to give this show a watch. It just started. Only 2 episodes out so far. It's hilarious. I especially loved the second episode which was filmed as a single continuous shot and particularly funny.Which is why they need to knock this off and do their jobs: which is to build with new stories as they always have,
Of that list…only the lion king has done well. Dumbo was weird. Snow White and mermaid were hard fails bordering on cynical appropriation.
Not great stewardship of the prized “classics”
Didn’t you spend some time at WDW the past year…. As long as you are worried about people spending money on Disney productsHe’s trying to get your money…all of it.

Can I introduce you to a little something called "Once Upon a Time".I know this will probably be controversial among those on this forum, but I just don't think audiences were going to be very interested in a remake of Snow White regardless of execution.
Its success I think it part of the reason why Disney believed they could remake this and other of their classic movies and they'd be successful. Can I introduce you to a little something called "Once Upon a Time".Which reinvented Snow in a glorious modern fashion and had a devoted audience. And it still holds up wonderfully. Just re-binged it recently. So good.
Rules (or in this case advice) for thee . . .Didn’t you spend some time at WDW the past year…. As long as you are worried about people spending money on Disney products
And I just explained it…I even predicted such low rent (iq) critiques:Didn’t you spend some time at WDW the past year…. As long as you are worried about people spending money on Disney products
That would matter if I ever claimed credibility…which I don’t
I’m just an observer with a long history like many.
But I’ll flesh this out a bit.
We’re all damned if you do…or don’t. If we don’t speak first hand…we’re dismissed as unqualified. If we do it…we’re labeled as part of the problem. Neither is fully false or true.
My last pass was 2018. It was a dvc premium (no restrictions and all gates) for $469+
Since I have been far less frequently…but still there…and dumping $400-$600 for 3-5 days is aggravating
So I lost part of my leg last fall…was in septic shock/organ failure. Real close. Scary stuff when you’re my age. This was my first traveling after 6 months. We were there for a couple of birthdays (adults only) for the weekend. I always consider bumping a ticket to a pass…but never do it. My wife - who is a far bigger critic of the prices than I am of that 5’0” sweatered lying rat in charge…said she wanted to get the pass.
Sold. I was shocked but I think we both understand it was comfort for my head as much as anything. No illusions.
And what put me over is the low crowds. The result of that putrid management
I went through something similar with captain America 4. It’s just the (rather disappointing) state of film discourse these days.I have just finished working my way through this thread expecting (hoping?) to see actual discussion of the film. This is, after all, a place for spoilers. I’m not sure whether to be surprised or not that it’s mostly a rehashing of the same old arguments (almost none of which actually have anything to do with the film’s content).
