Ya, it’s pretty clear this is their top three effort. Mando is probably the most mainstream. Andor prestige and this one is very appealing to the kid end of the range; kid not implying that it’s not well done. More like a better Obi Wan series.
Well if this rumor about advertisers jumping ship is true…they need it to reap that $100 billion a year from the stream 😉

The source on that rumour is basically non-existent. It's just a vitriolic YouTuber. Nothing has really underperformed expectations on D+ since Acolyte.

Deadline or Variety would typically be more privy if there was was more meat.

Just thought I should give you guys a heads up. In the 3rd episode of Skeleton Crew tomorrow, you’ll see more of the parents of the kids and apparently one of the kids has two moms as their parents, to which I think that kid is KB, since the actress who plays her played a character with 2 dads on ABC’s Modern Family.

So, just thought you should know.

Hopefully it’s just something that they show for 2 minutes, and I can’t imagine it’s the same level of toxicity-causing madness that we saw with The Acolyte when the twins Mae and Osha had two mothers. Even though I expect over-reactions… AGAIN.
So this become a whole big nothing, wasn't even apparent it was 2 moms of the same kid. And was over in less than 2 minutes. So yeah a big nothing.

One of these days people are going to stop fearing over having similar characters in these shows.

Have you watched this one yet? We all think it's at least good, I actually do think you'll like it. Do give this one a watch before you declare there's even smoke.

The name's Brian. I know Bob is often on the brain. :p
I just got an endorsement…so I’ll start it.

Been consumed with lioness and landman…which is appointment tv

And Bob is your spirit animal

Honestly, I do hope and think you might like it. It’s a fun series so far. No excuses needed this time!

I think my spirit animal is actually Mary Poppins. Flicking around where I’m needed. Which is a bit of a real world story, but the analogy holds. Even a bit of the know it all + conceited aspects of the character.

And if you want my true fandom, I hope Josh is still with the company in his current role come 2027 and hope Bob has well moved on; I’ll even give Kathleen her retirement to throw you a generous bone!

Really enjoying this. Finally a Star Wars show since Mando that just seems to want to have fun, have some good relatable characters and tell an interesting story.

My whole family made it a point to set aside time tonight to watch it together. That rarely happens with especially with the kids having schoolwork but there was a concerted effort to make time.

Personally I’m not a big fan of Andor - I’d rate Ahsoka higher - but it at least was well made.

But more importantly I want to give a shout out to The Bad Batch which is also a very good series (albeit animated).

I only watched the first episode so far, and I'm pleasantly surprised. I don't think the show is great, but unlike the last several Disney Star Wars shows, it isn't terrible. It seems to be an attempt to inject some fun back into the Star Wars universe.

I also really like that for once in a Disney Star Wars show, the non-human characters all look like aliens with unique biology, and not just humanoids in cheap-looking face paint (a la, Marvel). Lucasfilm seems to have rediscovered their creativity with character design.

Also, did anyone else get "modern Berlin" vibes from the city in this show?

This is a Disney forum, right? Seems and odd place to discount the art, value, and maturity of animation.
Absolutely. I’m just saying that many people seem to discount the animated shows for Star Wars. Outside of Resistance, I actually have really enjoyed all the Disney SW animated stuff including the shorts. I definitely think Bad Batch in particular deserves more attention as it was very good.

Disney's SW animation has been good to great with the exception of Resistance. The last season of the Bad Batch was a little sloppy though. Not much happen except Omega kept escaping and getting captured again. How much blood do they need out of that girl? The Clone Wars, Rebels and Visions were really good.
