Really enjoyed the first two episodes, I just hope they stick the landing as they’ve already set up a good bit of intriguing mystery. And it feels like stuff that can expand SW canon in a natural way not being heavy handed. I do also like the glimpse of how “normal people” exist in SW (we got a bit of that in Andor too).

The characters are engaging and feel real and relatable. And I really appreciate that the two episodes felt like actual individual TV episodes not just chopped up parts of a long movie.

I get what you mean, but are they normal people in the Star Wars Universe?

A show full of child actors could also have gone sideways quickly. So kudos to the four of them!

Continuing the legacy of mediocre or bad Star Wars followed by great Star Wars.

Just thought I should give you guys a heads up. In the 3rd episode of Skeleton Crew tomorrow, you’ll see more of the parents of the kids and apparently one of the kids has two moms as their parents, to which I think that kid is KB, since the actress who plays her played a character with 2 dads on ABC’s Modern Family.

So, just thought you should know.

Hopefully it’s just something that they show for 2 minutes, and I can’t imagine it’s the same level of toxicity-causing madness that we saw with The Acolyte when the twins Mae and Osha had two mothers. Even though I expect over-reactions… AGAIN.

Which actress are you talking about? Because the actress that plays KB, Kyriana Kratter, was not in Modern Family. In fact I don't know of any actor currently announced to be in the show that was ever on Modern Family.

Is it possible you're mistaken, or wherever you got this information from, is mistaken?

Sorry. I confused Kyrianna Kratter with Lily Tucker-Pritchett

So this episode was Pirates of the Caribbean, down to the pirate captain Jack. (Yes, I know it's an existing character.)

The show still doesn't really feel Star Wars to me, in spite of random things like droids and X-Wings showing up. Reminds me a bit of Farscape, maybe.

I think if I was 8 years old and this was showing on Saturday mornings, I'd probably be enjoying it a fair amount if I didn't know what it was "paying homage" to. I don't seem to be the target audience though.

We'll see what next week brings.
