Splitsville price changes

It hasn't even been open that long and there is already a change to the pricing for bowling. It used to be $15 per person for 90 minutes. It is now $15 per person for 60 minutes. If you're bowling solo you could still get your money's worth but with groups of 3 or more it just seems like a total rip off to me. Many non-serious recreational bowlers will probably be lucky to finish 2+ games in that time with a group.

How have crowds been so far in terms of bowlers? One way I could think as to why they made this change is because not enough people are bowling, so to offset the shortage of people not bowling, they just decided to make this price change of $1 per 4 minutes of bowling rather than the former $1 per 6 minutes which yeah does sound like a rip off if you're bowling with a large group. In general as well, most places around my neck of the woods limit you to only 2 games so they can increase efficiency and get more customers into their bowling lane areas.

Its also not surprising considering the location - the wait times have been getting pretty long just to get a lane. I still don't think its that bad - an hour is enough time for two games, basically, which is all I can see most people at DTD wanting to play.

That's true in my opinion as well about the two games thing but I bet many people don't realize that paying $7.50 per game is quite ridiculous.

Unless different then last week, there was a change in pricing, compared to when it first opened, but makes more sense IMO. Before it was $15 a person for 1hr 30 min no matter how many people were bowling in that lane. Price is still $15 a person, but length of time depends on number of bowlers. It is something like 1-2 guests get 1hr, 3-4 guests get 1 hour 30 minutes and 5-6 guests now get 1hr 45 min.

CORRECTION:
Official new pricing structure is as follows, $15 per person:
1-2 guests: 1 hr.
3 guests: 1hr 15 min.
4-5 guests 1hr 30 min.
6-8 guests: 1 hr 45 min.

Makes sense I suppose

Two games is about all I can take as far as bowling is concerned, no matter the location. Like you said though, excepting locals, people on vacation at WDW would go to Splittsville for no more than an hour anyway I would imagine.

Sorry, should have added "no time limit", with my 3 year old one shot can be 5 minutes, no way I'm going to any bowling alley with a time limit when I've got the kids with me.

The idea seems to really limit groups to about two games. With waits being around 2 hours or so for a lane (I waited over an hour last Thursday night), it makes sense they would limit the length of time that people can bowl.
