Splash Mtn. refurb

NOOO!!!! NOOOOOO!!! Why?? why do they have to close it when I'm going to be there?...... my favorite ride...

is it worth it to cancle a trip due to this closure? i know me and my girlfriend will be devistated to see this ride closed. we are going jan. 4-10.

I'll be going Jan 3-9. Even though Splash Mountain is one of my favorites there's so many other good attractions in Disney that I'm not devastated. Chances are it will be open the next time you go so don't let it ruin your vacay.

Splash Mountain will be closed from january 2nd through the 27th for refirb.
This is straight from the horses mouth.
Expect the attraction to be closed during this time, with no clue of it reopening earlier.
In fact, recent refirbs have been being extended.

I'm hoping that something good will come out of this refurb....the last ride I rode after a refurb was IASW and that looked wonderfull!! Granted that was a complete overhaul on the attraction...:lookaroun

I don't uderstand why they close these rides when they have thousands of people coming for new years and also the marathon the same week .The week of jan 9 starts the real real slow season that would make more sence to me. Disney should beaware of this also I don't understand the dates at all.
