Know the feeling. Me and my parents were waiting to get the first ride on Mission Space. Everyone was! The CMs were handing out 'no stampeding' cards. But as soon as that rope went up, it was like the London marathon!

Good luck with it!

Nothing in the world is ever free. Some way or another your paying for that picture and all the other "free" pictures. Whether its by paying $2.50- For a regular bottle of soda that is normaly a dollar or $7.00 for a BBQ sandwhich and fries at the Land Pavillion that anywhere else is at most $4.00. SO NO YOU DID NOT GET A "FREE" PICTURE.

Coca Cola or Pepsi for that matter is the most marked up item anywhere you'd buy a soda....especially the fountain stuff.

The last time I visited Epcot (2004), my attention was drawn to a multi-pack of Kit Kat Chocolate bars being sold at a shop in the England section of the World Showcase.

It was priced at around $6.75 (roughly), the packet had the original English price printed on the packaging....... 99p!!!!! That works out at the current exchange rate at $1.82 (approx)!!!

We had a real laugh at that one!! (Being from England, and as we did have a few English coins with us, we were tempted to take the Kit-Kats to the counter and offer them one English pound for them!!!!)

Oh yes the joy of travelling 2000 miles to shop in a british cottage. Good on you!
Sorry to break the news to you guys..... but Epcot's version of England probably represents 0.000000001% of the look of the UK!! This is one of the ONLY cottages I ever see!!

I love World Showcase, esp. the theming of China and Morocco - but England always spoils it for us! (And the Harry Ramsden's) Fish and Chips taste nothing like the real thing....

This is true! In June 2002 we were frist in line for tower of terror and they gave us a coupon for a free photo. So we got our tower of terror photo free. There were just 4 of us so we desided to get it and just scan it when we get home so ever one could have a copy.

They sell lots of these photos every day. I think giving away a photo for each ride isn't that big of a deal. They are a billion dollar company.

I'd love to do that, but I can't get up in time. And, I would never do that on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster because my pictures there are always horrible.:animwink:

If you are the first person in line when Splash Mountain opens, you and your party get a log to yourself and you get a free picture afterwards.

I'm heading to WDW next week again and I'm going to try this! Since my sister and her boyfriend will be with me it's definetly possible to get to the ride since they are both pretty quick! Now if I was with my parents, not a chance in #$@*

Another Hint

I am not sure about being first in line and getting "freebies", but I do know that if you are the first person, or family, to rent a boat at one of the Lakeside hotels (Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, or Contemporary) then you become the "Captain's Family of the Day" and get your boat rental for free.

This I do know, my husband and I did it twice. :D
