Wouldn't it be great if they decided to just stick a Princess and the Frog dark ride where the Princess Fairytale Hall is now and leave Splash Mountain alone?
How about a Princess and the Frog boat ride at DHS...where it would fit and which needs a water ride?Wouldn't it be great if they decided to just stick a Princess and the Frog dark ride where the Princess Fairytale Hall is now and leave Splash Mountain alone?
Maybe they could put it where the Star Wars Launch Bay is.How about a Princess and the Frog boat ride at DHS...where it would fit and which needs a water ride?

Does it have to be a ride, or just an attraction? If it's the latter, the Star Wars Launch Bay is right there... or do they just consider something Star Wars-related "sacred" or whatever? They would have to close another ride first.
State Law prohibits DHS from ever having 10 or more rides operating. It's why 30+ years after opening, that's never happened.

Tower of Terror has kind of come and gone, no? Looks like it’s one Cat 2 away from doing its own ground clearing for Wet Mountain: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. They would have to close another ride first.

Nothing, because none of the things in Song of the South that are considered racist are featured in the ride, and nobody considered the attraction racist simply for being related to a film that has racist elements in it until Frederick Chambers posted his idea for a retheme of the ride on Twitter. So then what to put in place of Song of the South characters in SM?
What if I told you that Brer Rabbit would be welcoming guests to the International Space Training Center in 2022?So then what to put in place of Song of the South characters in SM?

And again, Splash Mountain was open for years without people dubbing the attraction racist until Frederick Chambers posted his idea for a retheme on Twitter.Song of the South IP is going away. That's the decision. It's not about finding a new place for Tiana, but what to put in SM when SotS is gone. And it's going to be gone.
You think? I don’t hear people turn away from Mission: Space like, “that ride was over a sinkhole so it had to be replaced.”And again, Splash Mountain was open for years without people dubbing the attraction racist until Frederick Chambers posted his idea for a retheme on Twitter.
And retheming the ride won't make people forget that Song of the South exists. People will still bring up the ride as "that ride that was based on that old racist movie so it had to be rethemed".

I can't tell if this is a serious question or not.Does it have to be a ride, or just an attraction? If it's the latter, the Star Wars Launch Bay is right there... or do they just consider something Star Wars-related "sacred" or whatever?

You seem adamant that SotS be eradicated. Remember Florida was also supposed to get Mission Breakout, never happened. There's a chance Disney realizes there's no plausible way to bring Frog Mt. to WDWSotS is going away.
Apparently, Disney told OLC to retheme their version, but OLC told them to go pound sand. With no word from Tokyo, who knows if they ever will consider it. I am not sure how well maintained it is in Tokyo, but they generally seem to take good care of their attractions. People who have been to Tokyo many times say they have never seen a single person worn something related to Princess and the Frog or even merchandise.
If it's due to the "best version of a ride" thing that Tokyo seems to do, let's just say the expectation has to be huge for them. Splash was big enough in Japan to even have a quick service restaurant with it.
I doubt Disney would just all together not redo the rights for SOTS, if they did that it could lead to major relation issues with Tokyo.
Most of it was serious, but the thing about them considering Star Wars Launch Bay "sacred" was pretty much a joke.I can't tell if this is a serious question or not.
There's no state law prohibiting DHS to having less than a certain number of attractions. They just seem to like to replace instead of add for the most part.Apparently, Disney told OLC to retheme their version, but OLC told them to go pound sand.
