If IJ causes such harmful memories for you I imagine that's the case for a lot of people with Indigenous heritage. In that case, I'm glad it's going. Hopefully whatever they do keeps the spirit of TSI while being a bit more fresh.

If they think that's bad.....just wait until they find out about the guy named " Potter".

EDIT - LOL! WDWMagic bans that word!

New vid of Splash from 1992. It's incredible how truly alive the entire ride looked, something screens will sadly never be able to top

Crazy thing is it still looks like that in Tokyo.

Clowns on Reddit unironically think that the ride will be taken care of with the new theme, when really it's American companies that run everything into the ground without repairs.

It just never fails to blow my mind that Americans accept this kind of deterioration when it's abundantly clear that it doesn't have to be this way. I think it just speaks to the crassness of the entire situation--taking a sacred figure to multiple people, using it for ill purposes (intentional or not), making a theme park attraction they allow to rot into the ground, and then throwing it away when they're done. Woof.

Much like how companies treat minority representation. Woof.

Actually, that's how they treat everything these days.

Oh, so that's why they released that New Orleans video a couple months back :hilarious:
✨representation matters✨...just... not for real people, I guess? I saw the sign that the shop had posted in the window and I teared up, I can't lie. I couldn't imagine nearly 40 years of having a business and surviving multiple recessions, natural disasters and a pandemic, only to have Disney put you out of business whilst applauding themselves.

Oh yeah. Post anything Splash on the WDW Reddit and there will be a massive battle in the comments. If you thought this thread was messy...
No, what actually happens is a troll will say something like "this is gross, I can't wait for Tiana1!1 because racist bunny" and then when you try to counter it, the whole thread gets deleted, thus wasting your time. It's like bruh, I was in the protests too and I also like the theme of Splash.

This thread is nowhere near as bad, that sub is the Disney Defense Force, agree or we will smite you.

I was referring to R/WaltDisneyWorld. I feel my soul isn't strong enough for DDF right now
