Some friends and I drove 10 hours to go to Disneyland today, in time for splash to reopen.

Apparently it's delayed and not opening till tomorrow.

In cautiously optimistic, but these videos have a way of enhancing the lighting, making it look better than it actually does.
Well it always looks brighter and running well after a refurb. The question is how long will it last this time. Let's hope it lasts through at least the summer season.

Low light videos tend to really make the dark rides really pop. Indiana Jones Adventure is clearer in low light videos than it is in person, honestly.

I know that the vid is low-light, but the ride still looks like it's in decent working order. The only off things I noticed was one goose figure missing (the one with the smoothie), the turtles floating on water gone (maybe they gave up on these for good) and the showboat not rocking. Also the ride photo preview is still gone, I'm guessing they gave up on that one as I don't think I've seen it in at least 5 years.

Also couldn't really tell from video but it looks like they may have finally fixed the final B'rer Rabbit's eyes, they'd been totally f****d for at least a couple years.

It would be really fascinating to be able to get an inside look at refurb plans and how they decide what to fix and how. I don't have the first clue about engineering but I would love to be able to talk to the head refurb imagineer of Splash (if there is such a position?) and ask about the status of various elements of the ride.
