I rode Splash a couple times last week and there were a few of problems that we noticed.

- The silhouette of brer frog in the rocking chair in the queue wasn't working
- The projection of brer rabbit being chased over the hill wasn't working
- None of the water fountains in the room with those gophers (or whatever) that pop out were working

Maybe they are fixing some of these problems?

Those are common, ongoing problems. However, none of them warrant a shut down of the ride. Sometimes those effects work, sometimes they don't. But they wouldn't shut down the ride because of them.

There was a thread yesterday, something about a piece of warped track if I remember correctly.

Glad to see the original avatar back Thrawn! :)

I too am curious though as to how all three went down at the same time for unrelated reasons, just seems weird to me...

Meh, they are highly technical pieces of equipment.....a number of things could cause them to go down....

Someone said that Splash, Space and Pirates were closed yesterday due to unrelated technical issues.

Wow, that would certainly be disappointing for someone spending their one day at Magic Kingdom. I know I'd be sad. Though, having worked in amusement parks since 1999, I can certainly understand that these things happen.

Think Pirates.

There was actually a time for about 10 mintutes where Pirates, Splash, Big Thunder, Space, Aladdin, and Tiki were all down. It was definetly terrible and Jungle was swamped for some time.

Hey all,

Splash was down all day yeasterday and most of the day today, reopened about 6:30ish just in time for EMH, thank god!!! Pirates was down for about 3 hrs yesterday and space for about 2. Nothing serious about those two just some glitches that needed to be worked out!!! Splash is up and running and all tech stuff worked out, so if you head there tomorrow be prepared to get wet!!! That's straight from City Hall yo!!

I don't think I'd be worried about the tiki room...

I remember one day when the power went out in Adventureland and it was like only one attraction could run at a time. It was crazy. That was the same day that there was a problem with the water at Jungle Cruise. Guests can sometimes get so mad about things beyond our control.

Not jumping to conclusions, but so many unrelated 101`s - coincidence or a Disneyland scenario a few years ago?

I think they are referring to shoddy maintainance in general.

And to that, I heartily agree. The Magic Kingdom is in desperate, desperate need of some major refurbishments. It has really gotten to the "Where Do We Even Begin??" point. Splash needs it, Haunted Mansion needs it, Space Mountain needs it, Buzz Lightyear needs it, Mickey's Toontown Fair needs it. Oi vey.

doubt buzz needs it.

splash is very new comparitively to all MKs attractions

mansion could REALLY use one

pirates can wait for mansion
