Spelling mistake....

I was looking through my Disney movies and came across Snow White....well...last time I checked...it should be:

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarves"...

not...

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"

I'm not sure why, but both spellings are correct. It must depend on usage in a phrase, title, or sentence.

Dwarfs is used when it's used like this... "Expedition Everest dwarfs Space Mountain"

But and actual "Dwarf" plural...would be DWARVES

I heard a prequel to Snow White is coming...

Some things that are to be included...

1. See Doc go to Med school

2. Sneezy was called "Fred" He became "Sneezy" when Snow White showed up wearing that god awful perfume

3. The Evil Queen was actual nice until that little (censored) Snow White showed up

4. Prince "Charming" was Prince "I'm a plain old guy who farts, burps, watches football, scratches self, and reads between the lines on that Spice channel" until the girl he wanted to impress showed up

5. Happy was called "Mopey" before that little vixen Snow White started cleaning house

I just learned something new! I only knew about "dwarves" being the plural of "dwarf" but not the other usage of the word. Thanks!!

I am surprised that it´s used the wrong way in the actual movie!

I'm afraid that Disney has excellent spelling skills. I've checked a few dictionaries, and they all list dwarfs as the first choice. In fact, the two that are more than a century old don't even list the dwarves variation!
