Spectromagic on DVD?

Disney has released Spectromagic on CD (currently available), and about twenty seconds of the show are available on the new Magic Kingdom tour DVD (although a different instrumental score plays).

Sorry! But I too hope that Disney will release attractions (especially extinct ones) on DVD.

Does anyone know if Disney has released Spectro on a DVD? I would love to pre-purchase our trip goodies. :)

Yes, SM is on audio CD, with nothing else so it is rather expensive. I doubt Disney will ever put any of the night parades on DVD due to technical problems with filming/taping at night with regular analog equipment. They could present a HDTV program with digital HD cameras, but right now to copy off TV you need a $1,000+ HD tape or DVD recorder. So, don't hold your breath.

Actually DVHS has come down significantly in price. Now only 500-600.

My understanding is that is more difficult to shoot video in low light as opposed to film.

Its funny - I`ve seen and got a lot of Spectro and MSEP on anything from VHS upto DV, and the good ones look brilliant...

Plus there are the clips used in WDWs promo videos - I doubt they just filmed or videotaped ten second portions of the ride. Its the same reason why they don`t release the likes of say Tomorrows Child (attraction version, not the CD mix) or Horizons ride loops - no one thinks there is a demand for it, whilst the likes of true fans hunt them down for free.
