With 26 years worth of going to disney, from our honeymoon, when kids were young, all the way to now when our "kids" are 19,22,25 we have collected some nice things that I have put away in a nice box to keep just because to us they are special...what about you

A little plain white card that was signed by chip and dale at the sing along at fort wilderness when our daughter was 1 ( now 25) they signed it " to our little friend sarah on her first trip to disney" and drew little paws on it

The pins we bought in 2000...someday kid's kids will look at them and say WOW 2000?? that was a long time ago

A poloroid taken of my wife and I with Pluto at the airport on our first trip to disney in 1985 for our honeymoon. There was a time that the charecters would greet you at the airport.

An unopened pack of cards " Walt Disney's 100th birthday)
An unopened pack of cards " Disneyworld 2000"

All our room keys starting in 1996...they used to be resort specific

We have things from the kids' 1st trip this summer that we'll keep (pins, photos, Mickey ears, etc) but, I actually found some old polaroids from MY 1st trip in 1980 (it may have been '79). I know my folks have more stuff stashed somewhere, I just need to find it.

I have things that I collected from 20 years now! Outside of souvenirs I have saved - books, dvd's, maps, pamphlets, pins, tickets and even swizzle sticks from different resorts and bars around property.

I think the oldest thing I have is a Figment patch from my first trip back in 83'.

I have one of those things with the blue liquid on the inside and you turn it over and the blue liquid (dots) go down the spiral to the bottom and a hologram necklace with triangles in it. Got them both on my first trip to EPCOT CENTER at the Centorium in 1985...

I have several coasters my mousekeeper Carmen wrote notes to me on. She was fantastic. I will treasure them forever. She even let me take a photo of her standing by my door next to the room number. Hey Carmen, You Rock!:sohappy:

During the "Peace on Earth" finale to IllumiNations the wind was blowing all the smoke right over our heads. After the show I found a small piece of cardboard debris from one of the shells on our table. I kept it as my IllumiNations souvenir.
After all, it was a star in the show. :)

Several years ago I bought a Monorail Magnet. It has a button on it and when you push it it says one of three of the original Monorail speils. 1) Please stay clear of the doors. (2) Same thing, Spanish version and (3) Please hold onto the handrails.

I've never seen one like it since, and when I need a Disney fix I just go to my fridge and push the button.

I wish I had boughten a back-up in case this one ever breaks but I've looked all over Disney World and they are apparantly no longer available.

I have a copy paper box for every year we've gone for our little momentos.
-The wands and swords from dinner at the castle
-Park tickets for each year
-My coveted Tinkerbell pin for being "Guest of the hour" at MGM (that's what it was at the time!)
-Napkins from Mickey's Not So Scary Holloween Party
-Unused fast passes from Soarin
-4 years worth of Masks from Epcot (I miss these, don't care much for the bear)

The list goes on and on. We are going to buy a large shadowbox for every year and put our favorites inside. Then we can "relive" the magic every time we walk down the hall upstairs. :)

I certainly wished I saved things... but starting this year (will be celebrating my honeymoon) items will be collected and saved at home. Coming from a design perspective, even shifts in color and logos fascinate me. This can come from something as small as as napkin, or a drink stirrer.

I am 26 and in my trips as a kid I just didn't realize how amazing the things I was experiencing were. I wasn't fortunate enough to go every year like many of my friends here but starting now things will certainly be saved!

It is funny to see the changes in souvenirs as times evolve. When the Magic Kingdom first opened in 1971, you could get souvenir ashtrays. Now, I have never smoked but it would be cool to have one of those. Along those lines, I have held on to a few swizzle sticks from the hotel bars. Here is my collection from one weekend at the Wilderness Lodge's bar, sometime around 2008:

When I was a college kid working for the mouse, they gave us special stickers to put on our cars at the little trailer park they housed us in and I kept that sticker, which matches my forum name:

I didn't think much of it at the time, but when the kids were young, the Sci-Fi Dine In Restaurant served kids meals in glow in the dark frisbees with the restaurant logo on it. I have held onto those, even as the kids' interest faded years ago (the glow in the dark has NOT faded!)

It has been remarked upon before, but there was a time when the restaurants had napkins with their own names/logos and I have one of those for, again, Sci Fi :lookaroun The last time I was down there, it was just "Disney Parks," so maybe having the individual name makes it collectible.

I was lucky to have a friend in the Magic Kingdom on its 40th birthday, so she brought me back a park map showing the original layout.

Other than that, the race medals I've collected between 2008 and 2011 are special to me but the rest is the same stuff everyone else has seen and thrown away.

I have quite a collection of ashtrays from WDW, ranging from glass to ceramic. I also have a cigar box with the WDW logo and a box for a single cigar too.

We first went to WDW in 1978. At the time we were really young as were our kids and had almost no money, so we didn't buy much and took just a few pictures because of what film and processing cost back then. I wish we had a few things from that trip.

Since 1996 we've been back almost 20 times and like everyone else, we start to save things and eventually they get lost or thrown away. However, two things that I have managed to save are a pin from Discovery Island. I've looked online many times and have yet to see one. The other is a small matchbox with a ladybug on the cover from the Beneficial Insect Release Program from Disney's Pest Management Program. It was run at the Wilderness Lodge one day a week. Kids would get a matchbox with a ladybug inside and after a short talk about how ladybugs helped the plants without chemicals everyone would pick a plant near the pool and release the ladybug.

I have so many things that I saved park tickets, maps, room keys, pins (thanks Scott :)). I wrapped one of the beaded necklaces from Mickey’s Pirate and Princess Party around my car’s rear view mirror. In its own magical way, it takes me back to the great time I had searching for all the pirate treasure and somehow sitting in traffic isn’t so bad

I always keep my Key to the World, a park map brochure, the resort maps, unused fastpasses-which are rare for us :animwink: and a few pieces of random paper literature from that year.
