I keep reading about letting people know it is your birthday or anniversary. Do they check the actual day. We are going on our first trip 2nd week of Dec. and celebrating my sons 1st, Daughters 6th and our wedding aniversary. All happing within 3 weeks of our trip.

From what I have heard, they do not check. I've even heard of people wearing a birthday pin when their birthday was just during that month and not the time of their vacation. However, I would feel weird wearing a birthday pin on a day that wasn't my birthday. Not saying that you or anyone else takes advantage of it, but it just doesn't seem right to me. Just opinion, of course.

Guest Relations does not check at all. Just say it is your or your friend's/offspring's birthday and they give you the button. How would they even begin to check? Especially in the case of young children, what parent brings an infants birth certificate with them on a vacation -- especially to a theme park?

Hey why can't it be your Unbirthday!! Like in Alice in wonderland!?!?!

Ok here is my 2 cents on this. If it is a little kids birthday not a big deal for an adult whose bday might be months away not so much.

Actually we are meeting our best friends and their kids in WDW in November and we never get to share the kids bdays together so we were actually debating having each kid have their bday at the park. My dd's bday is 2 weeks before our trip ad another one of the kids is a few weeks after but the other 3 kids who are only going to be 6 during the trip their bdays are in June and July. We don't want them to be left out so why not have their unbday at WDW! We figured it will be 2 of the three's only chance to have separate bdays since 2 of them are twins! LOL

Shouldn't WDW be magical especially for little kids so I am all for it if it is for a little kid.

The special occasion buttons are for people celebrating their special day with a trip to a Disney theme park. There are no rules stating that you must celebrate the occasion on the day it occurs. :)

Most people will wear a birthday pin or similar throughout their trip - when you realize how much attention you get it's hard to take it off! If I had no morals I would wear my honeymoon one every trip!

My wife and I picked up our anniversary pins at the Magic Kingdom a couple of days after our anniversary had passed. We figured since our trip was an anniversary present, it would be OK to celebrate our anniversary every day. We were not asked to provide proof.

here goes another question?

Are the anniversary buttons just for wedding anniversarys? My Bf and I will be at MNSSHP for our 2 year anniversary, and we're not married (despite how many CMs always ask if we are) but it would be fun to Celebrate?
