Yes, sadly the chariot was removed earlier this year. Unless they install a whole new projector, which is doubtful even in the context of a full ride refurb, that effect isn't coming back.

It's not the lightning bolt on the upramp, the one that was turned back on is in the descent. It was an effect installed for the '94 show. In between the virtual classroom and lullaby vignettes (or between the modern day nothing and nothing)

It was done on purpose. It wasn't simply turned back on, it was repaired.

Very cool stuff, I remember looking back there in 2023 during my last trip trying to decipher what I could see in the pitch darkness. Very eerie atmosphere but I loved it, hope they keep this effect in place till at least the next iteration, or even beyond that. On another note, I really hope they bring some nice fiber optic effects in like they had in 94’, still 10x better than even some projection mapping today

Apparently this is the cause of the lightning returning. Has anyone noticed any effects turned back on in other attractions?
