Spaceship Earth

Since i was a young ive always called the object that spaceship earth is in "the big ball". Is there an actual name for this or should i just call it spaceship earth.

Spaceship Earth is the name of the attraction housed inside of the giant geosphere...many argue the geosphere itself is Spaceship Earth...so it's pretty much vice-versa (since it's an icon).

I would call it "Spaceship Earth"...be a little different than most...

I don't think there actually is an official name for the Sphere that houses SE. Like Grizz said, just call it Spaceship Earth!

Spaceship Earth is Spaceship Earth, referring to not only the attraction inside but also to the actual geospherical structure that houses the attraction! :wave:

The Birnbaums lists them separately as Spaceship Earth and the Spaceship Earth Ride.

If nothing else, "The Golf Ball" always works for me! It's often the first real welcome to WDW depending on what side of the plane you're sitting on!

For the Disney uninitiated its easier to just describe it as a "big Golf Ball" saves the hassle of explaining Spaceship Earth.
