This part of the ride is still broken as of Monday 7/11/16. My face didn't appear in the video at the end, just the generic cartoon faces.

Luckily, for yours truly, my face is a generic cartoon face so SSE is never broken!

Thanks for the update. I'm hoping it's fixed when I return in October but I'm guessing it will not be addressed by then.

Yeah, it was definitely Windows NT bc my wife and I laughed about it. Not sure if it was Windows NT when it finally got to the desktop (I'm not even sure how that looks) but the boot screen was definitely NT.

That would have been cool to see, IMO. I wonder if it was a customized Windows where it said "Run As Imagineer?" instead of "Run As Administrator?" I remember seeing a video of EE at DAK where the screen showing the Yeti silhouette ripping up the track was replaced by the Windows desktop.

Well, I guess I should chime in. I was there on 7/13/16 and the ending worked just fine. But rather than watch it, I just looked at the remnants of former Spaceship Earths, which I learned about from this board.

Went on SSE today three times. The first time it failed to see my face, but it worked the next two.

I say it's time to move on from this whole sequence anyway.

It's basically the worlds lamest Snapchat filter. I can see how seeing yourself in a cartoon might have been cool ten years ago, but now it's so dated, it needs to go.

Ditch the screens, add a new descent with awesome lighting and music, and leave people inspired rather than perplexed.

I work for a well known national network television production. I use a mixing desk running XP.

We never plug it into the web.

Good choice. Don't let it become self aware.

It hasn't worked as intended for years judging from personal experience. Which is weird because it used to work perfectly. I wonder what went wrong.

we had problems with it too. twice our video wasn't there after the ride, & the last time, my face was on the video, but not my wife.
i only found it amusing because i work in a radiology dept & we have siemens machines. they're always getting updated, fixed, or going down for something. my reaction was "ahhh typical siemens.."

On my last trip a couple weeks ago the flash wasn't going off when they take your picture, meaning that none of the pics were usable, so you got the cartoon heads. But back in May it worked perfectly, so it hasn't been busted for "years".
