Spaceship Earth updates

Yes, but lap bars make it harder to get a good nap.

AHAHAHA...that is damn funny because I was thinking the same, although the all plastic head rests really did get quite uncomfortable.:snore:

The bottom line however is that the ride is an EPCOT classic, I personally love these older rides because of the nostalgia that comes along with it.

I know attractions cost big money, especially to create new ideas to attract guests but eventually the ride will have to be updated to follow the way the rest of the park is going.

P.S. Anyone know if Visa travel or of any promotions that are coming up for Canadian travellers, because I really want to go back to WDW again.

Later

Good to see SSE is getting some love. The ride is one of the true wonders of WDI, and it never fails to give me goosebumps. Now if they could just pad the seats...

Darn, not prepping for demolition by drilling out holes in key supports in which they put high power compact charges atached by wires to a central detonator that Mickey will hit causing a cascade of explosions and the wand imploding into the little blue walled area and not harming SSE?

Completely unrelated -- but there is also a crane up at Test Track as part of the rehab there.

Now... back to the wand...

*searches for depth charges* :lookaroun

saw the crane today... if i'm not mistaken they are using it to replace some burnt out bulbs on the Epcot letters.

Good! I counted at least 25 bulbs out on the southern side today.

The crane was still there today. Got some pictures of it. I was kinda hoping it was going to be something related to the new sponsorship. I'm hoping it's not just to change a lightbulb... :p

I walked right past the new swooshes as I ran onto one of my all time fave rides, but I did notice the blue (bars?) on the SSE support bases. I swore they were new, for they caught my eye the very second I walked through the turnstyle. Of course I didn't take a picture...lol...but I assume someone here knows what it is I am speaking of....:D

Nevermind, I guess I'm always staring up at the actual globe to notice, but the bars have been there for years.....
