I remember seeing a City fly over just before the decent at the top of SSE back in 1983 similar to the one in PeterPan. Does anyone have any pictures or videos of that? When I go on it now, I think that there is still allot of that set there but I am not sure if that is exactly what it is. If it is, why isn't it being used anymore?

I think you may be confusing this with WOM. I could be wrong though.

I thought I remembered this as well, but some looking around online a bit, I am pretty sure we're confusing it with WOM like Oddysey said.
Funny how I could almost picture it, but now that I think about it more, it's from the WOM car and not the SSE one.

SOrry for the late reply. Been places, meeting people, riding rides..... :D

You may be recalling one of the projection screens in the Perrin version of SSE. Where as the Cronkite version had the Tomorrows Child images at the top of the core, the 1982 version included aerial satellite / Landsat / infrared footage, including city flyovers.

Either that or the lighting allowed you to see part of the never used moonscape in 180top, which when seen with the junk up there could look like a night time city. The moonscape was clearer back then. Not great, but not in total darkness.
