I was watching the movie The Man in the Iron Mask the other day, and Jeremy Irons (Aramis) sounds just like the narrator of Spaceship Earth. Anyone else agree or know if he in fact is the narrator?

Unfortunatly, Mr Irons was not the first narrator, I forgot who that person was, but I'm sure someone here can answer that.

Vic Perrin was the original narrator of SE, 1982 - 1986.

The narrator for SE 1986 - 1994 was Walter Cronkite.

And now of course, 1994 - ???? is Jeremy Irons.

Now that you mention it, he'd make a great narrator for the ride.

Imagein a much less hostile "dismebodied voice" than in the movie Phone Booth. Sutherland has a great voice.

Re: VonDrake. Find Martin's 1982 SSE tribute video, it has Perrin's narration. It's actually pretty bland compared to the other two narrations.

I always thought Irons' narration really added flavor into the attraction. It just made it sound more mysterious rather than a lecture.
