Maybe someone (Martin?) has a bigger one.
Mine is very big :D but it is a bit too big - here`s a smaller version ;)

And to get an idea of the original size, here`s Bob at work:

And since I`m on a roll  .... the original SSE mural spaceship and astronauts, and a lighting test of the completed mural as installed, before installation:

What's amazing to me is in both cases they were able to capture the feelings of the attractions so accurately without ever having been on them! Obviously they were painted before either was built!

I mean.. .I'm not stupid.. I know they had concepts and whatever else to work with... but still... pretty amazing. :)

^ Have you been on TT yet???? :p

I just watched all my 1984 videos of Future World today. Where was that Horizons mural? I remember it, but I can't place it. I can only remember the kaleidoscoped murals in the entrance.

Bit of a drift here....but don't you love that the larger slave in the Egyptian scene on SSE is the same figure and face that is President Taft at MK's Hall of Presidents?

Robert McCall is awesome, my dad has signed artwork of the spacestation from 2001: A Space Odyssey, the astronauts on the Moon, and Apollo 13 circling the dark side of the Moon.

He also did concept art for Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Very cool pics. Thanks for all the info everyone. I was not aware of half of this...

Which half? :D

Thanks, marni. If you could throw the bigger one on a free hosting site like zshare or something I'd be really grateful. I checked through the old souvenier books I've got, but none of them have the mural in their Horizons sections. Otherwise I'd just scan it myself.
The nerd circles I usually run in are comfortable with 5 meg jpgs, mammoth pngs, and so forth, so size isn't really an issue for me. Thanks again for that one, though. It's still a lot better than the one on McCall's site.
