The Space Shuttle Endevour, set to be permanently displayed in Los Angeles at the California Science Center, will be strapped on the back of a 747 and make a flyover of famous SoCal sites on Friday morning. And one of the locations the Space Shuttle will be flown over, after it flies over The Getty Center and Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign is quite obviously... Disneyland USA!

That should be quite a sight, and you know Disney's photogs will be out in force capturing the moment.

I was wondering how the heck you move that thing across the city once it lands, and it turns out that it will be quite a project.

The shuttle will travel across L.A. at about 2 mph, bringing its total trip time to six or seven hours (by our calculation). City officials will reportedly have to remove 212 traffic signals and street lights to make way for Her Highness, as well as some utility lines. Marroquin reports that trees will also have to be removed from the route -- but that for every one cut down, two will go up in its place.

Prayerfully! It has got to go! All of that space could be used for something great.
AND Redd Rocket's takes up most of that building to the right of it, in front of the Primeval World diorama. Lots of space... no, I definitely don't study satellite photos of WDW and DLR...

I'm still skeptic on Pizza Port. I think it's leaving, but at the same time, I don't think it's leaving. There's a refurb going on for it right now, and I have a hard time understanding why they'd refurbish something they plan on getting rid of it anyway. I think you do study them.;)

Here's a great picture of the Shuttle flying over Griffith Observatory, about 15 minutes after it flew over Disneyland.

And then of course there's that little bridge they have up north in San Francisco.

What a pretty state California is, with so many amazing natural and man-made wonders! They should make a theme park ride about that, flying over the whole state and all its stunning sights that are more than just one state deserves to have.

These pictures are gorgeous. That theme park ride idea of yours is great. Now that I'm thinking about it, you which place they should save for last? Disneyland... During Christmas time!
