Did anyone else who has ridden this lately think the attraction needs a major rehab? The ride cart were all worn..My laser didn't work on two different occasions and paint was chipping everywhere!

 We went on with four people... our vehicle was chipped and old looking, it didn't even have some of the decorations on the vehicle at all, we looked up fron to my wife and son, they had one that looked brand new, so I guess they are updated on a rotation, therefore making it random as to what you get on each ride.

I went on it and got my highest score ever... over 700,000

Hey, lets not be too critical of WDW - while it would be nice for things to be in pristeen condition, don't forget that these rides get hammered for up to 17 hours a day :)

I saw on TV last night that originally Test Track tires had to be replaced once a week... WOW... major mulah! They eventually went to a new tire that lasts 4 months now. Repair and Maintenance can get expensive, and we can tear em up a lot easier and faster than they can be fixed, so I understand sometimes.

I'm not trying to be critical. I was just asking if anyone else thought it was a little ragged looking. I give them plenty of slack but I just thought it would be nice to see other people's opinions.

I saw the same show (the one on the travel channel). Wasn't that amazing?

My firend rode it and maxed out the score after 1 min. Now he says he wants to join the army and be a sniper.

I commented on this a while ago...I think they are working on the vehicles one by one. The ride is so popular that it would be pretty hard to close it. Some kids go to the Magic Kingdom just wanting to ride that. I don't mind how they get done as long as they do get done.

This ride needs a major rehab. The laser blasters were sticky and the queue line floor and walls were very dirty.

I noticed the same thing when I went on it a few weeks ago. Our car had chipped paint and looked VERY dirty. I guess that I am not used to seeing Disney rides look like that and I thought it was strange too. But if they are re-furbing them one at a time, then it should be good as new soon!

Even though the ride is very popular, it does need a rehab and the quickest at best way to do it would be to close the ride down. I dont see why this couldn't be done right after the Christmas Holiday. One week should be enough to replace broken parts, paint, and clean up the place.

I get the feeling that the maintainence level for that ride isn't as high as with other attractions.

The queue is always filthy, and the lasers don't always work. While no other ride has a similar interactive system, all other rides have queue lines, and none of them are consistantly as dirty as the Buzz queue.

The vehicles should also be maintained a lot better as well. They were probably designed very cheaply, because it was a quick, cheap replacement in Tomorrowland. You don't see other WDW vehicles falling apart as quickly as the Buzz vehicles.

Most of the rides at WDW are used as much as Buzz, and they aren't showing the same level of wear.

Umm...
Correct me if I'm wrong (only if you know you're right) but aren't the cars they use in Space Ranger Spin the same cars they used in DreamFlight... which the used in If You Could Fly... which were usd in If You Had Wings? :lookaroun
I mean, sure, they have a different paint job and those fancy lasers on them now, but I'm pretty sure the cars are exactly the same...
Meaning that I and several others here, have probably sat in every single car on that track.

I just got back from Disney and it was Buzz was a little ratty. Chips in the cars and lazers not working. I always see the red beam and both times we went on it there was none. It sort of took the fun out of the ride.:(
