Space Mtn Sentinel Article

Story, please.
:D

Nothing that interesting.
During the walk out of Epcot after the midnight burnoff, a large gust of wind picked me up and placed me on top of a railing which just happened to allow an unobstructed view over the construction walls and into the SSE entrance area which was still under refurbishment.
Nothing dangerous or inappropriate for a guest to do.:lookaroun

It should only be attempted by trained professionals.

Onboard audio solved. Install a MP3 player in each train with a larger battery capacity to last for 8 - 12 hrs. Have the guest bring their ear buds to plug into a jack by their seat . BAM! INSTANT REFURB! You can enjoy Space Mountain the classic way or with an onboard audio score if you wish.

I assume you're being a bit sarcastic. But I've wondered about your point.

With audio technology getting smaller and lighter every day, perhaps Disney is holding out for a newer system than SoundTracker.

(Although truly synchronized music is good for the slightly varying speeds a train travels and the rare E-Stop, I think most guests would be fine with a regular audio track that may not necessarily match a dip or curve to the precise second, or continue to play and run out during a stop)

Also, seeing that Matterhorn prototype, I continue to wonder if Disney has a master plan of replacing the Matterhorn and WDW trains simultaneously, at some future date when they predict the existing fleets will be at the end of their lifespan). As Sam's Club has taught us, it's cheaper to buy in bulk. (And for all those who cannot understand why WDW didn't get the DL treatment, keep in mind that refurb was done at the same time as HKDL's SM was built)

One thing I'll miss... glow-in-the-dark strips on the sides of the ride vehicles. I don't know why but I always enjoyed watching them streak thru the building.

It really is a shame if we don't get some sort of lighting package. With available technology, the Space Mountain building could be an amazing blank canvas upon which to do some great digital storytelling. Ehhhh, maybe someday...

Was the name of the wind Martin?:lookaroun:lol:

In that same vein, I could say that the rain in August placed me on a bench in Tomorrowland very close to the SM Wall.:lookaroun

Very good idea hope somebody from TDO reads this and takes it into consideration.

Disney World executives are less interested in such overlays...

Excuse me?! Just because they don't do them does not mean that they're uninterested in them.

Jumping to conclusions in such an awful, idiotic manner is stupid and demeaning and should be against the law, IMO.

This serves as another further dentriment to the Sentinel's credibility!
