Space Mountains Single Riders Line

Really weird how it works but at least it helps force the switchbacks inside to be open.

Anyone ever use it? You have to wait in the full line until you get to the Switchbacks and there is a little sign with a path going around the line that is the singles line.

At least it is so out of the way that nobody notices it, and when I use it I can beat the fastpass people sometimes. But it kinda seems pointless....

I agree, No one realized it was there when I was there in June. It was always empty and since no one in my family gets on it with me I save myself a little wait time. I wonder why they don't have it set up like M:S. Let the single riders in with the FPs and let them go from there instead of having to wait basically the entire Standby time.

Single and FP have different entrances on MS, it is just that they are so close it seems like one line.

Now since I never see people use wheelchairs in the Space Mountain line, why not split the FP line into 2 so there are 3 lines going through the Mountain. Isn't there enough room to do this? But then how would the loading be done?

Hopefully someone will figure out how to do the lines inside Space Mountain. The FP line has been different everytime I have gone to Disney.

Wheelchairs come into space

The big problem is that our star corridor is not big enought to make 3 lines. The only way (that I can see) is to redo the whole thing...there is room for the 3rd line but the post show area would have to be taken out and redone for the most part.

But you are right the sign is not very bright or anything. My idea for that is for it to be backlite or something cool like that...just like the numbers at load should lite up too so guest can see it better.

Any chance the numbers at load could be illuminated when the airgates come in? Even if its by spotlighting from above?

I assume they could get 3 lines in the star tunnel by ripping out the octagonal panneling in the tunnel and making it square - heaven forbid!!

Use the wheelchair entrance as a Single Riders line. That's what I would do. I did happen to see a lot of cars with 1 or 2 empty seats when in line for the ride.

It's possible that they COULD have FP and Single riders in the same line until you pass through the star field, then where the line widens (after going up the incline) the one could split into two. They probably would need a CM there to verify FP and Single tickets again, though...

From my understanding of the Space Mountain Single line, it's basically just to fill in the seats (same as other singles), this one just does it in a different way. Most single lines are in fact not full of single people, just groups who want to shorten their wait time and don't care to split up. IMO, the SM single line works more effectively, b/c it keeps the groups who'd split up from joining that line and in reality fills the single seats with actual single riders. In essence, this is able to achieve a higher ride capacity.
