hello all! recently, iwas chacking out the sound of magic and i was very glad to have found bg music to space mountain (http://www.balgavy.at/som/dpmenu.htm). of course, i recognized promising tomorrows (entrance ramp) and music makers (where they beam the package, etc.). however sentimental journey did not seem quite right (where you unload the coaster). it seems to me that that song might have been an older version or perhaps the song i was looking for IS the older version. or maybe ive just lost my mind. if someone could please enlighten me, itd be much appreciated.

Hey. I don't have info specifically on unload music or Sentimental Journey versions. But I do have a bunch of Space Mountain MP3's that aren't listed there, if you're interested.

You wouldn't happen to have the BGM that's used at the end of the star tunnel at the ramp going up towards launch control.

I've got the first part of star tunnel music under the railroad tracks, but when you get into the part of the queue that kinda zig-zags back and forth and then goes up towards launch control, the music changes. It becomes more electronic... more "futuristic" sounding. Would LOVE to get a copy of that.

I do have star tunnel music but it might be the same as what you have. I don't know where it plays, but my star tunnel MP3 is 4:41 long, if that helps.

bjunderwood, I sent you an email...

Ride Music

Is there an easy way to get a hold of ride music? Something that can be downloaded. The site mentioned above is a good start but I would love more. Especially anything connected with Space Mountain or Spaceship Earth.

Take care,
Greg

Anyone have easy disney-central irc instructions? (I know I've seen them around.)
omg that thing is quite difficult. i used it to download resort tv and havent touched it since. i think you are supposed to download something else with it, but i didnt do that (im a bit impatient). so, i had to type random crap as fast as could (its like timed or something). i got resort tv and the fact that im computer-retarded has prevented me from touching it again.

The promising tomorrows music is an interesting one as it appears to be an overlay of two separate tracks.

As the ride works, the trumpet part (with an extra orchestra backing + some percussion) is only played in the area of the first ramp inside the attraction. I believe that song is called "We've come so far".

Once you enter the first part of the tube it switches to completely to the spacey sounds an chords. While they were clearly designed to overlay each other (if you cut out parts from each) you don't really hear them both at once while waiting on the line itself except for a few brief moments.

Of course the spacey sounds and chords eventually just changes over to spacey sounds further down the tunnel.

Bring back RCA`s RYCA-1 theme!

Seriously, I love "We`ve come so far" and its spacey brother. Are these the original 1975 tracks? I only ask since they seem so dated yet timeless, much like a lot of the original Tomorrowland music.

Man, I love the space mountain qeue and TTA tunnel music. Its just so relaxing, new age-ish, and space feeling. I love it!

Its a shame when they que everyone up outside or when you have a fastpass, you cant listen to the bgm longer. You just zip right through this section.

To my knowledge, there's no less than three versions of "We've come so far" recorded for the attraction in 1975. There's the full-band version played with soft jazz precussion, a slower, "spacier" version played on solo trumpet with some synthesizer in the background, and the "star tunnel music" version which is done entirely on snythesizer. To my knowledge, only the first version is still used in the WDW attraction.

"Sentimental Journey," originially written by Les Brown, was recorded several times by 1960's avant-garde longue legend Juan Esqivel, though I think the version used at WDW has always been thr recording he did for his 1961 "Space Age Bachelor Pad" LP.

Finding the CURRENT star tunnel music is still something of a feat. I've been looking for a good recording of it for about 6 years now with no luck. Getting a good recording of this track is made all the harder because there's nearly a dozen "spacey sound effects" tracks out there from Space Mountain that are readily available. "loading sounds," "com chat," "loading fx," "flight sounds," they're all false leads. To my knowledge, the only real recording that exists on the internet is by one Matt Orkin and is 2:08 long. It's fairly clear but is marred by lots of background noise, voices and footsteps. I'm still looking for a proper rercording.

Alright, I downloaded the "promising tomorrows" track from Soundofmagic. It's a slightly different version of the solo-horn version of "We've come so far," except with some of the synthesizer sounds from the third version of wcsf mixed in on top of the existing audio.

It is NOT the current star tunnel music, which I've still yet to find.
