I have never had a bad experience at SM, however i do agree that the CM's there are the least talkative. I have just always chalked it up to the queue area being so loud and dark.

I've never had a 'rude' CM at SM, but, they are usually not very talkative. Could it have something to do with working in virtual darkness all day? I think that could depress anyone, even if you are working in one of the best places in the world. Just a thought. :)

Maybe they are Morlocks... :animwink:

I've got to put in a word here for our CPs se8472 and sissa216. If I were going on Space Mountain today, I'd want to know they were working. From what I've read from them on this board, they are both all right with me.

There will be some "less magical" folks in any dept. Even, gasp, ODF.

We arrived to see her YELLING - and I mean YELLING - at other Cast Members (throwing her arm back with an attitude, rollering her eyes), and even shouting out at guests.
She ready for Prozac...
And IF someone made a complaint.. IF someone has made a complaint, she could be subject to a 25: TERMINATION...

Some people are getting very stressed because of large crowds...

PMS maybe...

NeverTheLess, you're right, this kind of behaviour is unheard and not really wanted at WDW...

Reason for Edit:
In a post later on, I saw you filed a compaint... GOOD!!
It's the only way to handle these things.

I've only had one bad experience with a CM in Disney that stands out in my mind, coming from EPCOT to MAgic Kingdom one night we took the monorail and changed trains at the TTC and were waiting for the train and an older CM asked us if we'd liek to ride up front and being the 10 th time I'd been to Disney and this would be the first time I would get to ride up front I said absolutely, well that CM happened to be from about 20 minutes away form were we lived and we had a wonderful conversation for about 5 minutes or so and then we got in the monorail made some freindly conversation with our fellow guests and tried to talk to the operator, she didn't say good evening, hello or anything or even just hello and and I can't really talk talk but sit back and enjoy your ride or anything she just sat there and drove the train and then when we got the magic kingdom station she just got out of the train and walked down the ramp and didn't say a word, when I got home I complained and got a quick responce from guest relations and it amazed the people I worked with when I got paged that I had a call from disney world. The perosn I talked to seemed to care and I gave him all the information, the date what she looked like and the time since I couldn't see her name tag in the dark, just a very weird expereince and it was worse becasue it was my fiances first time in Disney world in like 10 years so it sort of killed the magic for a little bit.

we experienced a very rude cast member at RnRc 2 years ago on January 3rd. the ride was practically dead, we walked right on. well we were in the loading area and my aunt asked to be in the front because she's one of those who have to sit in the front (chicken j/k) well there was this young guy working the seperate front line where my aunt had been placed. he was telling everybody what lane to go into. well he placed me in the front where my aunt wanted to be and placed her and my uncle in the back where I wanted to be. she asked him if she could switch places with me and he wouldn't let her so she walked off. there was only enough to fill up one train at the time, the ride was dead! he would not let her trade places with me. her first trip in 2 years and she didn't get to ride one of her favorite ride because of some rude 20 something had his butt on his shoulders. we went to the front of the park and explained the situation and we got special passes to ride any ride we wanted that day and the cast member got a talking too. obviously they had been having some problems with him lately. my aunts trip wasn't the same after that. there are cast members that go WAY out of their way to please the guest and then there are cast members who see it as just a job and don't give a darn. (sorry its so long! )
