Souvenir Suggestions

So DH and I are going to WDW without the kids in 11 days. Even though I'm going for a work convention (spending 2 1/2 days at the parks) I'm feeling a little guilty for not taking the kids .(It's not even a option, really). Anyway, mom-guilt aside, I'd like to bring them home souvenirs. Any suggestions? They're not big Disney fans (yikes!). The only things I could think of would be jewelry for DD and tee shirts for DSs. Their ages are: DD 11, DSs 14 and 17.

My brain is sort of in the same place right now, although, our kids are younger. We're planning a kid free trip for this fall, but I want to bring the kids some stuff home. I'm trying to focus on their interests and things I know they've asked for in the past. For example, DD5 has been begging for a lightsaber...so I'm going to build her one in DHS. I've also thought about maybe some WS stuff, pins, and/or pick a pearl.

Are you going to plan on going again with them in the coming few years? I was thinking a creative "IOU" type thing with "owing" then rides or meals with you guys when you go as a family. Or maybe buy a few little useful trinkets to use or something to wear on your next trip with them?

I agree with Mr Morrow with bringing back snacks, candy, etc etc. though I am betting you could find each of your three children a unique gift in any of the countries in the World Showcase.

We always bring back some caramel squares from Germany! They are soooo good! Plus they freeze well so when you're suffering from missing disney depression just pull one outta the freezer!

What about something for the summer? There's some cute beach towels, which are good for anyone of any age I think! Or water bottles, or beach bags? I also agree with edible souvenirs. My in laws always bring me back Mickey Mouse rice krispie treats! Sometimes I bring back Mickey shaped cookies or lollipops for friends - it's always appreciated!

Teenagers who aren't Disney fans?

Buy them some weird candy or snacks from Mitsukoshi Department Store at the Japan pavilion.
There are some neat variety packs available.
If they like anime or vidya games there will be even more choices.

These are some great suggestions! I don't know that we'll be able to make a WDW family trip in the foreseeable future (maybe DL... we're in AZ) but the idea of food and Epcot is great. DS17 is taking Spanish and loves to cook Asian, so Epcot maybe a great choice for him. The other DS likes to eat. Thanks everyone!

Bring them some souvenir candy or snacks. I always liked those little chocolate and vanilla Minnie Mouse cookies. You can find them at almost any gift shop. Mickey Rice Krispies Treats are also a great choice.

As far as non edible souvenirs go, you should maybe consider caps, t shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs (especially if they're big coffee or tea drinkers), snow globes (sometimes pricey), or something as simple as magnets, car antennae toppers, key chains, or pressed pennies!

Oh yes, and have a magical time!
