I know there was a lot of "buzz" on here when South Park did their three part show with "imaginationland" which seemed a lot like JII. The entire trilogy is being shown as a movie, uncut, this Sunday at 10pm on Comedy Central.

Most Excellent, I shall have to inform my Tvio. Those might be my favorite episodes, even if its just to see all the childhood characters.

1) This isn't WDW-related at all! It should be moved!

2) Old news...yeah they're reshowing the episodes.

Keep in mind, I LOVE SOUTH PARK and this three-parter but it was not posted correctly.

yea and I just went to go look for it on my tivo, but there is not one mention of the imaginationland episodes airing that night , comedy central is playing southpark for a couple of hours starting at 10 but they're other episodes

This title of this thread had me scared for a second...on the main page, the words "the movie" weren't showing, so I was afraid someone was going to say that WDW is going to add a South Park Land to DHS or something. :hurl::ROFLOL:

I have the extended director's uncut on DVD, it really is a hilarious trilogy/tv movie. There are so many references if you pause it and look over the crowd sequences. The extended version is a bit more gory/explicit, but that's to be expected from South Park. Tape it and enjoy it! :D

That's funny because that's exactly what I thought when I read it! :ROFLOL:

As for the Imaginationland film, I've never seen the individual episodes, just rented the dvd - it's pretty rich.
I was constantly mentally bouncing back and forth between "oh, how cute - a Disney character!" and "OMG, what are they doing to that Disney character?"

Didn't you love/hate what happened to Mickey Mouse in the extended version? :ROFLOL:

1) Actually the person mentioned that it references the Journey into imagination ride. So yeah It is technically related to WDW.

2) I did not know that, so it's not really old. Good thing he mentioned it so I can catch it this sunday.

That's exactly what I'm talking about!!!

I went from "Look honey, it's Mickey!" to "Oh no - poor Mickey!" in about a 2 second time frame!! It was quite the roller coaster of emotions ... :goodnevil

My thoughts exactly!! I was half wincing, half laughing my head off. Poor Strawberry Shortcake and Ronald McDonald got it pretty bad in the director's cut as well...

Yep, good stuff, good stuff - now I'm going to have to go rent it again, because you know you can't watch the edited version after seeing it uncut! :animwink:
