The cheese soup from Le Cellier is good, I prefer my version of the recipe at home. I use more cheese, beer, and bacon. I just use any beer I happen to have on hand.
But the french onion soup at Boatwrights is super amazing! Had lots of good flavor and the onions were soft and not crunchy.

We have had more soups and chowders on this vacation than I expected, and we liked nearly all of them. My favorite might have been the one from our first night. We went to Olivia's and I had their soup du jour, which was a cream of chicken curry soup. It was outstanding on its own and even better with Olivia's signature coconut bread. In my opinion, it should be an everyday item for them. Their conch chowder, which was tomato-based, was also excellent. I love red chowders! I also very much enjoy the gumbo and the French onion soup at Boatwright's. Those aren't exactly unusual, though. Probably not something most would go out of their way to have.
Only had Indian soup once and it was hot and I mean spicy hot.The famous Mulligatawny.:eek:Phew!

Le Cellier's cheddar cheese soup is really the only reason I kept making ADRs there, haha. The steaks are good, but there are other restaurants in WDW with better.
It's not fancy, but I can't wait to try the french onion soup at Be Our Guest. I loooove onion soup.
I love the french soup at Chef's as well and made it at home a couple of times, we enjoy it made with chicken broth rather than beef, the beef flavor is overpowering.
