Sounds Dangerous With Drew Carrey

No, I highly recommend that you avoid this attraction. The show is not all that entertaining, and there are better things that one can do in the same twenty minutes. The show itself involves secret agent Drew Carey as you follow him on a mission. The show is part video with a good deal of time spent in complete darkness, listening to sounds (hence the name "Sounds Dangerous")

The biggest problem I have with the show is the headphone situation. To truly experience the show properly, you have to wear the provided headphones that someone else was wearing only a minute before you. They are not sanitized between shows, so for me, it just feels really unclean to be wearing something that just touched a complete strangers hair and ears. :hurl:

Overall, skip this. There's nothing particularly innovative about this (for example, I have headphones at my house that are more technologically advanced than the ones in the show), and in the end, I found it to be a very uncomfortable thing to sit through.

And Number 2
It's not what you think it is...you put on earphones and watch a fake TV pilot for a show that is so bad to watch (second worse one has to be Cavemen) and sit in complete darkness during the duration of the show hearing audio..In my opinon it's not worth it unless you want a break from the heat then by all means do it..But, it's not all the hype really..

And Thirdly....Welcome to the Boards!

Hmmm

:confused:This is one that really puzzles me. I have not seen a single post from anyone that likes Sound Dangerous. Not one. And yet it stays open.

It's an O.K. attraction for me i guess.. I mean yes it really is disgusting putting on the ear phones and the plot is really cheesy, but the special effects - sounds - are really amazing. It sounds like bees are actually buzzing by your ear, or you're getting a haircut at a barbershop. Overall, i'd say skip it, but if you're a Drew Carrey fan, it's a hot day, And you like special effects, i'd say go.:)

Probably the worst attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios, except for Honey I Shrunk the Audience play zone (if you don't have small children with you. If you do have small children with you, then it is the worst attraction at DHS.

Really as shame, because the live sounds effects show that was originally in this spot was quite funny, even though the audience particpants almost never got the sound effects right (which was part of the fun)

That said, I wouldn't call it the worst attraction at WDW. For me, that would go to Dumbo, Alladin's Carpets and Triceratops Spin

Its one to miss unless you've done everything, it is also closed regulary for other events like abc supersoap, ESPN. To be honest i don't think its gonna be there much longer either.

My kids are 11 and 12 and they enjoy the show. We have been multiple times and they want to go back every time. It also is nice to get out of the heat and in the air conditioning!

However, if it is your first time to the World, I would skip it.

My wife and I went on this back in 2001. DO NOT GO, it was a complete waste of time and you will never get those 20 minutes back.
As comic book store guy in the Simpson's would say, "Worst episode ever!"

My boyfriend has basically said its one
of the worst attractions in the park,
basically because its boring and pointless
and not entertaining at all!:brick:

I don't understand why the keep this and trashed millionaire (forgetting about toy story mania for a little bit, after riding it I saw why they did it and am happy).

The only reason they could be keeping this up is to boost the park's capacity. If it can pack more guests in the park during busy times, why not? With american idol going in and with the possibility of star tours being fixed up, why not spruce it up for it's final years? (My own speculation, take it as a grain of salt)

I've done it once and was not impressed. My friend and I both ended up dozing off. It was easy since we were just about the only people in the theater.
